Yesterday I used my topaz gypsum for the first time, went well for the first 40 min or so until my group member told my it was pretty unusual to still be stuck on 9/10 gypsum when we had constantly been killing mobs for the last 40 min. We kept going until the timer was out and I did not get that last drop.
We were bouncing between 2 baby forts next to each other in shattered mountain so we had a constant supply of kills.
He had be in groups where 10 gypsum had been very doable to get within 30 min, so if I was still stuck as 9 it was likely that I missed a bag drop that had since timed out and disappeared. Now I guess it doesn’t matter if I didn’t loot that bag, since it had dropped I was already capped for my 10 topaz gypsum for the day.
I’m not sure why it works this way since the breach and outpost gypsum is automatically given upon completion. Now I can basically forever have an uneven balance of +9 gypsum, or I can choose to waste my attunement potion for one day and get my 1 and then stop. This definitely leaves a bad taste in the mouth, and aside from getting my 1 gypsum needed to craft a cast, I think I will forgo doing this particular gypsum task anymore because micromanaging the group members to stay together to we don’t miss a drop from something they killed is pretty tiring.
Please make it so the topaz gypsum is automatically given once earned, and probably best to change this for obsidian gypsum as well since I can see this happening in that scenario too.
