VG Oblivions can make or a break a win in a war tbh. It’s not highlighted in this game because it’s more under the table than the flashy Grav well. Also a group of players being at 10% health for 2 bursts worth getting clutch healed last second isn’t as flashy to see either. IG Ice showers well placed can set up mass wipes if you catch 3 backline healers in it. Against, not as flashy but Im picking up what you’re putting down.
Definitely more relevant than other games for sure.
Is it a real question or just trolling? If you cant see the difference between a ranged using a heavy armor and a healer then I dont know what to say.
A healer is more likely get hit by melees than a ranged as they are closer its a much more obvious choice to lose that about 15% bonus healing from light to be able to tank 2 more guy’s dps. A ranged would fighting multiple melees in the same time, they are using their range as defense and they obviously need as much damage as they can get as their main role is to deal damage not to being tanky.
Yes they do, but also they can easily die. A support is usually one shot in LoL or in overwatch. Or a zenyata or mercy isnt one shot for a hanzo ir 1-2 for a mccree? Soldier isnt bursting them out in 1 sec?
Didnt played LoL for years now but back then I do mained support usually, orianna, braum, blitz etc. They were tanky because I built them tanky, and yes they had no heals like a soraka because they were TANKS. A soraka or the fish lady died instantly when a khaziks/assassin jumped on it but did great heals when the team defended it. So your arguments makes no sense, it supports what I said, you either be a tank or a healer but not both if you want both you have to be much weaker than any of those two which also supports why they added the -30% for the heavy gear.
It does, you would just have to use anything other than rapier, like a GA to throw gamne changing gravs, or ice showers etc. Its not the game fault that healers are rather cheesing with rapier.
You see, Soraka and Nami (Fish girl) have a complete, cohesive kit. Life staff has none of that. Try building anything that resembles their kits with any of the secondary weapons in New World. You can’t.
League is a totally different game that includes champion scaling, items and the whole nine yards. An early game play has ripple effects going into mid-game and late game. New World has none of that. You’re at full build and full power at all times.

You will have 625 Expertise, lv 20 life staff mastery and free gear to theory craft whatever you think “Healers should do.” In 3v3 arenas.
Game changing gravity wells comes from opening a fight at a huge advantage. AKA chunking players out, or outright bursting them before they can retaliate.
Pulling out a great axe with 5 STR, tossing a gravity well and saying “Hey, I contributed,” leaves me with many questions. If you aren’t using a Great Axe to cleave massive groups you’re not even using the weapon properly at that point.
Nobody brings a great axe just to use a zero scaling Gravity Well. Let’s not be facetious here. There’s using off-meta builds and then there is hardcore trolling.
Heavy should have two rolls, tanking and dmg. I agree that this game doesn’t balance almost anything really well. If you want to wear heavy and max out sustain then you have to give up DPS. But if you want to have (healing) sustain it should not be as good.
I question if you ever played any MMO. Healers are fairly universally squishy. Being able to heal a group during an encounter is a balancing act of managing your aggro with your heals/any DPS you put out. It is not “heal and entire group and when you get aggro off tank the mob”. As a healer pulling aggro in most MMOs is a bad thing, wasting a heal on yourself and not being able to heal your tank/dps is a bad thing.
There have been hybrid builds that mix tank/heals but normally they are not the best at either one. Another very common MMO theme is that if you want a hybrid role you give up a significant ability in both roles. If you want heavy/sustain you will not come close to normal levels of healing.
The only butthurt one seems to be you. You lack the skills so want to play the same meta that allows you to sit in heavy armor and heal away the damage from multiple people.
He’s a little musket troll that picked up the life staff for about 3 weeks then spent plenty of threads prancing around like a turkey thinking he’s suddenly an expert on the LS preaching a storm of misinformation.
People saying light doesn’t have enough defense are not considering movement.
The movement alone is enough of a benefit to toss heavy armor in the trash when healing. This is part of the reason people are now complaining about the rolling healers, they can’t seem to catch. In before it’s blamed on rapier… Too late!
But we have no tanks, option 2. So far the best tanks were Heavy healers and now they got removed.
Heavy tanks were not immortal, any good spear user could get him out of healing bubble and kill him. Or 2 good DPS should be able to kill him.
Also heavy healers had many lacks:
-low dmg
-slowest movement
Everybody could catch Heavy players and backstab or kill them. Heavy were to static and yes also tanking. But a heavy could never chase a light, all could do against light is to wait for him to come close or heal himself.
