I think I’m not alone with this “issue”, the server transfers are sort of working right now for everyone. But the server transfers went out in two waves.
First wave happend when they had just opened it up for the first time, many people then transfered off to higher pop or lower pop servers. (This also caused some issues that made the developers shut server transfers down for about a week)
Second wave happened when they had “fixed” the issues that surfaced from the first wave of server transfers, allowing the rest that DIDN’T transfer the first time around now to do so.
This also made many from the low pop servers to transfer to the higher pop servers (which is now giving the higher pop servers a hefty queue as well and really should only have been allowing a one-way-transfer off the server and not allow transfers to the servers to clog them up).
Some of us including myself is now stuck on a server where Turkish is 90% of the chat and the biggest Marauder companies have transfered off and is peaking at about ~700 people at prime during weekend (It was ~1600 when we transfered over).
Now this would be fixed if we could get merged with other servers that are facing the same situation pretty much. Although when that will happen is still a good question since we have not heard anything about it, which gives this option about allowing everyone to transfer server ONCE every two weeks to sort it out mostly by themselves.
The developers/CMs mentioned previously that they will be monitoring if an additional transfer token will be required but it’s not been any words about it ever since.
And I’m all for paying transfers but I also think that they can’t open up a paid transfer service in it’s current state. Once the dust has settled this should be fine but how long we got to wait for that is still something I think no one will know at this given time.
My point with this thread is that I think it would make things easier for players and developers if we can sort out most if this by ourselves to re-locate us more than once in case this happens to other servers too. However it should not allow us to do it TOO FREQUENTLY since it will just encourage people to jump servers all the time to ruin something up along the way or create issues for the new server.
We can put in an example
If we get one token tomorrow to transfer, and we use it, that would lock us out from transfering now for 14 days. Let’s say we are unlucky and will have to transfer off the rock we end up on now every 14 days. That will give us an oppertunity to transfer server 5(?) times before the end of the year
And to be realistic I don’t think that many transfers would ever be “needed” since the stampede will sooner or later settle, but having the option there would maybe help many to settle down faster.
