and dont forget… beside geting gear from bashing mobs… the flood the market with 10 coin tier 5 epic gears… and crasfters that spent hundreds of coins crafting items are forced to salvage them or sell them with 9.9 coins…
While I appreciate the effort, I can’t with good conscience choose either of the answers. They all have certain value, but I don’t think any of them is “the one”. Instead, a combination of several of them, plus additional enhancements would do the trick.
- For each perk available, open a slot in the crafting UI where the crafter can drop a crafting mod.
- If no mod is provided, roll a random perk.
- Item Stats should either be picked by the crafter (in which case stat mods can be removed), or treated as another item perk, separate from the others.
What we need is more control over what we’re crafting. Current RNG heavy system is unacceptable and needs to be scrapped in favor of one where we have the control.

I was a bit astonished while leveling because faction gears were more than enough to make it to 60 without having to worry about crafting any gears at all.
Total non-sense but it’s just my opinion.
Not sure why would you add items and trade skills if they are not meant to be used 
None of those ideas seems good because it will put all crafters in a dead-end, quicker from some, longer for other ideas, but still a dead-end in the end.
Let le explain : If you give the game enough time, no point for crafter to make more stuff once everybody on a given server is stuffed BiS.
For your ideas to work, you either have to get more new people on the server but make older quit to not saturate the server capacity
Or
Make equiped stuff to be dependant to a consumable that crafter make.
This very consumable is already in the game but not worth it at the moment : Repair kit.
For this to work, you will have to fix some things :
-Make repair kit cost lower repair parts To make
-Make repairing from inventory more REPAIR PARTS expensive (basicly switch the cost from kit (300) and repair in inventory (50)
-Make 600GS repairable with a new repair kit made by trade lvl200
This will make a good stimulus to the economy as repair kit need :
-mods (sold by gatherer)
-repair parts (from either PvE farmer or recycling crafters)
With that in place, you’ll be capable to repair your stuff in emergency (very costly) BUT it’ll be much cheaper to get a supply of repair kit in your inventory.
Or just wait until AGS release the 620+ GS gear, just like it was teased on the PTR
We all know the 700 GS might come sooner than expected, better buff crafting before it goes live right ?
id like a combination of many things.
- remove BoP/BoE from the game completely and decrease the total amount of drops abit but increase the chance for rare and epic drops.
- remove repair function from the game and increase durability by 100% at the same time.
- make it considerably easer to craft everything. like really… ALOT easier.
- make crafting deterministic. let us set prefix ourself aka stat distribution then add slots for all perks so we can pick what we want. maybe let the 3rd perk slot be random incase of legendary proc. something to consider if you want a little bit rng.
- make the game full loot.
there you go, constant demand for new gear aslong as ppl play the game.
what about bringing back furniture so we are actually able to craft?

But ENG is best as you can make some pretty decent money along the way with tools, proficiency pots, ammunition, etc. the other crafting professions make it really hard to sell stuff that’s useful to everyone.
Edit: suppose Arcana is good too for the pots… but in my experience not as profitable as ENG.
There’s lots that is useful - armoring if you fix certain perks which are universally useful, jewelry, I’m even selling high tier furniture (black laquered, well polished tables etc)
I spent nearly 2 hours today farming Wirefiber and I receive 22 Blisterweave & 7 Scalecloth. I can’t even make x10 Phoenixweave for today’s daily craft, and I need ~24(?) along with other daily CD materials to craft a chestpiece.
Meanwhile, a chest run through Shattered Mountains takes way less than 2 hours, and nets probably several epic pieces of gear and weapons at 580-600 GS. I can’t compete with all of that stuff as a crafter, when it requires so many of my hours spent gathering, to craft a single piece (which will inevitably be valueless, due to poor stat / perk combinations)
lol??? you’ve clearly never crafted. People that don’t craft get hundreds of thousands of gold pocketed, and still get great loot. Crafted gear might have a remote chance of better, but since the odds of a god roll is somewhere around 1 in a billion (since every single aspect of the item has to line up - god ace perks with intelligence don’t cut it). Gearscore farmers just gain gold and get gear

Someone suggested once that (like some other game apparently) all gear in the game should be crafted. All of it. Sounds extreme… but I kinda like it.
crafting will continue to not be worth it due to RNG system in place.
You can maybe make it slightly better if you restrict the maximum power that a drop can achieve.
Really, crafting should not have so much luck in it, the crafter should be able to determine what they produce. Crafting should not be mysterious, known inputs should produce known outputs.
For a hybrid survival/craft/mmo, the fact that the removed item breaking is bewildering. It is a core concept for the genre. If we knew what was being made, the sting of replacement is greatly diminished and materials are always in a state of circulation.
Could be solution but not sustainable if GS upgrade are not fast enough.
Plus, it will be one step closer to make NW a usual themepark MMO which I personaly don’t like.
Big vote for making crafting (at least high tier crafting) far less RNG. If you put in the work to have 200 skill in crafting, you should not have 2/3 RNG affecting what you are crafting.
Man , the choices aren’t well made… I mean i like both options a and b and the one doesn’t negate the other… Good effort though.
yeah make the game like Albion then ? thats the tldr of your message and AGS will never do any of that !
