Cheating in New World really isn’t as bad as several of the witch hunters in this thread would have you believe. Originally, this post was meant to just poke fun at the people crying that everyone who kills them is cheating. I didn’t think anyone would believe me when I cried that every single person who took me down was cheating, even when it was a 10v1. But they did. And that made me realize that the hackusations being this bad really are real.
While cheating occasionally happens, I agree with the developers in the Q&A who suggest less than 1% of the playerbase is cheating. I’ve never seen it, and if I had, I wouldn’t have known any better.
So you’re telling me you have recorded footage of this happening also you have a streamer that does it live and you have reported this to support and they responded and told you they will do nothing about it ? Also you probably already reported them to twitch support right ? (since using cheats on twitch is agaist ToS and it takes like 5 seconds to report) RIGHT? RIGHT?
If not why waste ur time posting on the forums when with the same amount of time you could have made a support ticket and get said player banned, unless ofc this information is coming out of ur a@@ with no proff whatsoever…
PS: Muskets dont have traveling projectiles, they are hitscan… just so you know before u make bogus statements.
I think the cheating problem in this game is vastly overblown. Lots of players are simply good at playing their builds and have perfected it over the last year.
If you think someone is cheating, I’d recommend reporting them either in-game or using the web ticket system, rather than making forum posts
guy is clean … he is even missing half of the shots and if he hits it’s mostly the body shots , nothing unusual just snowflakes who aren’t proper geared/gemmed and do 0 dodges when musket is on you … but ofc there are known cheaters wich community already know with 90%+ headhost accuracy , but it’s not this case … these guys don’t do VODS even if they are asked from top pvp companies , they rather leave and not send anything… guy on this video is good … cheater will not miss 50% shots.
This isn’t a cheat, but rather a well-known exploit within War company circles. Yaboiwilly has talked extensively about this exploit on his stream, as well as doing a game play demonstration on how to do it, but he only did it for educational purposes and to bring awareness to the fact that it’s a bug and not a cheat.
he misses a few shots, but not many - he could be good, some people are that good.
HOWEVER, he never switch’s weapon, and gets the haste icon after a dodge (bow perk). i don’t know enough to say he definitely is a cheater, but i’m falling on that side of the fence.
what i don’t understand about cheaters is ‘what do they get out of it?’ it’s not like the cheater is the one that’s winning. it’s a game, they have to be cheating themselves out of fun. if the cheat gets a kill, it’s not like they can ever claim it’s their kill.
New World is full of cheaters.
Aimbots, perfect dodge, target lock. You seen it every day on multiple people.
That is the environment they created with their no ban strategy.
