Why does the new dungeon come out with mutations I don’t get it this is why I don’t play this game anymore.

They introduce a new high level dungeon which is probably super easy and consistently drops legendries/epics every run, then they also give it another 1-10 different difficulty levels afterward for who knows what reason that drops these items even more consistently. Just make the new dungeon come out being as hard as a m10 would be by default without the mutation effects or with them if you really have too, just make it hard and very rarely drop BIS items that look great cosmetically like 1/250 chance drop rate , that’s it easy…

Holy shit and just read they made it even easier to get items you want from dungeons quick with the new materia if it isn’t easy enough in this game lmfao.

Well the intention is to have the content available for different players. The regular use geared for level 60s but in this game a fresh level 60 needs different content from one that has maxed their expertise and into umbral shard territory.

Which again you can argue for or against those systems but the reality is that are in the game.

I actually live the concept of mutations. When they were first released it was literally like 2 different versions. Now it’s like 27? With the next one that goes to 81 probably? (Someone can check my math). If it is 3^x though. Then with a few more additions we are hitting thousands of possible combinations! That is a really unique system and really does make each playthrough feel different. I mean with the next one, there is something that literally punishes dodging. That’s going to be insane. Not everyone wants the challenge by I appreciate that it changes up how you play a dungeon.

It’s just how dungeons tend to work in MMOs so you can provide a variety of content to different types of players. The casuals and the hardcore.

I would argue that this game needs even another mode where the bosses themselves get harder at higher levels and their mechanics change or get more difficult. That’s just me though.

Well that’s what makes it worth the investment in time, if you cant do the dungeon its a goal for you to work towards and continue playing the game and maybe one day when you finally reach the gear/levels required to participate in the dungeon you can this game gives players everything they need to do any content very quickly and therefore quickly gets completed and boring.

I’m currently playing OSRS and I’m hoping to do the Chambers of Xeric dungeon run by next year as i have so many levels, gear and quests I need to work towards before ill be able to actually do it now that’s an MMO not a game like NW that within a month I can do late game content lol.

And its funny cause they keep making updates that make the game even easier like lvl 60 quicker and the new materia so you can obtain the items you want faster this just makes the game finish quicker lol, so boring…

But what’s the point though I’m an MMO player I’m there for the legendary drops and I’m done, I want super difficult dungeons within incredibly rare loot say 1/250 drop chance as BIS items because that’s why im there and thats why ill keep re running the dungeon.

That’s not true if the dungeon is late game content it shouldn’t be accessible by anyone but only players that have the best gear and requirements to complete it that’s why this game has issues its like a woke version of an MMO were everyone should be able to do the same thing regardless of time invested.

I hear you there. Would have loved it if 200 in skills was closer to what it is like in RS for sure but that is more my preference and know that different games have different appeals. RS being the grind and some people love that.

Would be cool if this game did have a dungeon released that was at baseline insanely hard and near impossible to complete. Then M10 on top of that. I kinda like the idea of having content that is almost impossible to do so release and over time the game grows into.

It’s hard when this game is so new though. Almost need content that is catered to both casuals and more hardcore players. Then when you have built up enough, you can then release the Nomad quests and whatever equivalents have been released since. It’s been a while since I played RS. Left at combat update.

I do agree with this. I would like more chase items. I remember when getting a legendary WOTA before umbrals, was insanely rare. It definitely took away some of the magic. I personally would love more super rare chase items in terms of cosmetics and furniture items. That is what is keeping me doing PVE arenas right now.

Yes that rush of endorphins and awesome feeling from a rare drop in an MMO and you show your friends and they are jealous and other players comment on it knowing how hard it really is to obtain knowing you invested time into it, flex that shit! this game just doesn’t have it and they are removing any feeling like that more and more as they make things even easier to obtain and I believe it is to cater to more casual players and I don’t believe thats a majority of an MMOs player base.

players practice get better gear and get better at game, they run dungeon multiple times till they can complete it you understand?

we don’t give them it for free they earn it…

Try crafting instead for that pursuit.

This is not the issue people have fundamentally with the game.

People already can barely gear for M5s most the time unless you have the grinders of the server on your team.

Making it so you have to be full maxed out 625 GS to complete the expedition on launch is not gonna change anything. In fact, it will make everyone who is under geared pissed.

You are just wrong.
Expedition can’t be only one mode. Look at other mmo.

When WoW started (2004/5), many players hate blizzard because of this. And then, in tbc, blizzard changed it.

But we need raids, with mods. And pve players will comeback.
