Potion Crafting: What's the point of higher tier mats?

Looking to craft Infused health and regen potion to sell, there is a 20% “chance” bonus to yield if I use the higher level materials (Life Quints, Dragonfish Jaw and Poison Sac) but what’s the point of using them considering that they are more expensive, rare and takes long hours of farming? It’s always better to use the tier 1 mats and just stockpile them. Any thoughts on this?

As on off topic, I feel like this is a common occurrence in New World, things take forever to farm as some kind of artificial grind to simulate gameplay and content but at the end the reward for that grind is really not worth the time invested. For example farming for crafting gears (weaponsmith pants), crafting mods (drop of ironwood sap, starmetal weaponsmith charm), and chest-running (low chance for trophy mats).

Not sure if it’s bugged but I crafted thousands of infused healing pots with 18% duplicate and I never got one extra
