Ok. Just hear me out now. I totally get the idea of Genesis/Lazarus being the best way to get end-game gear and I have no problem with that. But the other 4 expeditions are good also. They’re nice, interesting with fun mechanics and shit but are absolutely pointless to do after you hit 60. You’re not gonna get gear that matters from them, you not gonna get gold or anything really to let you replay them. So there’s really no point for those expeditions to exist other then to “progress story”
The current system is set in a way that you get 2 keys for each expeditions while leveling and doing quests and they are even tied to the quests. You cannot progress your MSQ without doing them. And here’s the problem. Like right now on my server nobody does Amrine or Starstone. Gone are those days when people were just standing in front of the expeditions entrances and shouting “LFM” They have repeatable quests which are not rewarding enough to even bother crafting the orbs for those expeditions. Right now you could solo Amrine and Starstone, but that’s hard due to not being able to find 2 people to group up with which are bored enough to do them.
So, do something to make those expeditions viable again. Instance them to raise level and rewards based on level of person whos using his/hers orb. Make those orbs to use same crafting materials as Genesis or Lazarus so it cannot be crafted in a bulk and easy AF. Like depths for example has some nice weapons, I’d love those in 600GS but right now I can just look at them and sigh while I’m deconstructing them. Give the players the incentive to get the gear, to change the difficulty of expeditions so people can progress them just give them something.
I get that this is mostly PvP focused game and I don’t have a problem with it but you gotta make something for the PvE community aswell not just “legendary” weapon quests which are impossible to do alone and that’s it. There is no incentive for PvE players to stay in this game. All the end-game gear is great for PvP but if person is not invested in it, they have absolutely nothing to do after they complete MSQ.
Make all expeditions level 60+ for players that are level 60. And maybe they will stop zerging Myrkgard and Ambusti for gear, because that’s endgame here…zerg rushing elite chests every 24 hours until you get your gear score to 591 then doing Lazarus or Genesis to get 600GS and legendaries.
