Price of Marks suddenly gone up by... A LOT?

Well according to that logic prices in my country should actually have dropped and not increased. But agree to disagree I guess

So how much is it for 10k MoFs in your country now, in US $s?

Anybody? Does anyone know how much 10k MoFs is in Swiss francs (CHF)?

Don’t worry, I have found someone Swiss in-game
Apparently a 10k pack is 9.51 CHF which is the equivalent of $10.21.

This sounds to me like it is exactly as I suggested and

You could buy a 120k package and now they offer a 100k package max for more money than the 120k package was. As far as I can tell the exchange rate was basically the same a year back so I’m still confused but whatever.

Yes, the exchange rate is only part of the reason, aligning all currencies’ prices with the dollar is the rest. You have again neglected to mention how much any of these packages are (and were) in CHF.

It appears that you are not really interested in this

and more interested in complaining that the prices have gone up for you.

I have always admired your defense of the game on these forums
But in this case you are way off the mark .

They can correct prices, that is their perogative.
But to do so without actual mention of it and to coincide with the arrival of PTW mechanics leaves an exceedingly sour taste

Thank you.

Maybe. I certainly dont think im right all the time thats for sure.

And I understand that point of view. This is not the first time they have changed prices without an announcement. A couple of months ago they did the same thing. There was a thread about it. Most retailers change prices on goods without announcement. When i worked in a grocery store we changed prices at least weelky. And were told to not tell people. For right or wrong.

JakeL had a good post with a better explanation about the change.

But yeah, i understand it leaving a sour taste and they could have picked a better time if they had a choice to pick a better time. If Steam made a change on their end, maybe AGS could not pick a better time.

Sometimes there might not be an explanation that seems obvious at the time is all im saying.

They are preparing for patch and influx of people. They will start giving discounted prices on MARKS after that xD

The reason I believe they should have communicated with us is simple. I think its bad PR, they look greedy to some customers. People will or already have imputed bad intent on AGS side about that.

I think they could have prevented some of it.

Personally, I was more surprised and confused about the pricing rather than upset about the actual cost to buy these things and looked for a reason. I couldn’t find one that made sense to me.

What are the prices in the US?

I will check saturday/sunday and update you about the prices in CHF.

This seems an odd question as I have mentioned it and referred to it several times.

Thank you but if you just give us the price of one or two packages in CHF, I am sure we can take it from there.

I think you will find I explained that previously. It is obvious that between aligning prices with the dollar and exchange rates, these price changes are totally justified. This has led to a long, and often pointless discussion on the subject.

Had AGS made this announcement, they would be the one’s defending this against EVERY troll on these forums. This would be much worse for their PR than a few unhappy people who don’t understand why they have to pay more, even when they know they are now paying the same as everyone else.

A screenshot of your store page in CHF will show if this statement is correct or not.

Lot of that is incorrect :skull:

Give us your screenshot showing MoF prices in CHF.

by talking about the price of MoF in a particular currency in a thread entitled “Price of Marks suddenly gone up by … a lot”?

Hello?

yes thats right
thats how it should be if they want to earn money from countries like mine
because 100$ is too much money here…
no one will pay that much money for game currency in my country

I think you are beginning to understand my point.
AGS were selling items with little to no value, like emotes and skins. Now they have added something (season pass) that does actually have some value (in game anyway), so they are making sure that everybody that benefits from it pays the same amount to get it.

people who like the game will pay even some of the people who are complaining. Let them capitalize on the time and resources spent into this game. You are not forced to buy anything. If you want to hang with the Jones then buy the stuff. Simple nothing to read hear but gripes and complaints.

Agreed

The loudest seem to have taken advantage of it the longest and now seeing an investment possibly stagnate. Why? Cause they do not want to admit that battle pass will be how everyone will get skins.

And with transmog around the corner, trash gear in any track can be useful.
