Maybe. I certainly dont think im right all the time thats for sure.
And I understand that point of view. This is not the first time they have changed prices without an announcement. A couple of months ago they did the same thing. There was a thread about it. Most retailers change prices on goods without announcement. When i worked in a grocery store we changed prices at least weelky. And were told to not tell people. For right or wrong.
JakeL had a good post with a better explanation about the change.
But yeah, i understand it leaving a sour taste and they could have picked a better time if they had a choice to pick a better time. If Steam made a change on their end, maybe AGS could not pick a better time.
Sometimes there might not be an explanation that seems obvious at the time is all im saying.
The reason I believe they should have communicated with us is simple. I think its bad PR, they look greedy to some customers. People will or already have imputed bad intent on AGS side about that.
I think they could have prevented some of it.
Personally, I was more surprised and confused about the pricing rather than upset about the actual cost to buy these things and looked for a reason. I couldnāt find one that made sense to me.
This seems an odd question as I have mentioned it and referred to it several times.
Thank you but if you just give us the price of one or two packages in CHF, I am sure we can take it from there.
I think you will find I explained that previously. It is obvious that between aligning prices with the dollar and exchange rates, these price changes are totally justified. This has led to a long, and often pointless discussion on the subject.
Had AGS made this announcement, they would be the oneās defending this against EVERY troll on these forums. This would be much worse for their PR than a few unhappy people who donāt understand why they have to pay more, even when they know they are now paying the same as everyone else.
A screenshot of your store page in CHF will show if this statement is correct or not.
yes thats right
thats how it should be if they want to earn money from countries like mine
because 100$ is too much money hereā¦
no one will pay that much money for game currency in my country
I think you are beginning to understand my point.
AGS were selling items with little to no value, like emotes and skins. Now they have added something (season pass) that does actually have some value (in game anyway), so they are making sure that everybody that benefits from it pays the same amount to get it.
people who like the game will pay even some of the people who are complaining. Let them capitalize on the time and resources spent into this game. You are not forced to buy anything. If you want to hang with the Jones then buy the stuff. Simple nothing to read hear but gripes and complaints.
The loudest seem to have taken advantage of it the longest and now seeing an investment possibly stagnate. Why? Cause they do not want to admit that battle pass will be how everyone will get skins.
And with transmog around the corner, trash gear in any track can be useful.
In Turkeyās market, MoF prices 5x 6xāed. It is known that Turkish currency is decreased in value against USD but 5x 6x prices are really high since there is a huge inflation rn. I used to buy even crappy skins but now its out of budget for at least 80-90% of players who lives in Turkey. Some people will come and say its your problem but they could arrange the price better so people can keep purchasing. Now its a dead market for us. Many people stopped buying MoFs
10k is 105 TRY. Server transfers were 25 TRY now it is 150 TRY. Some people can find it low compared to USD but peopleās purchasing power drastically dropped in last 2 years.
Then it could be consistent with AGS having set the exchange rate and the value of the TRY changing considerably, as you said
The price for you has gone up a lot but you are still paying a little over half what US citizens and most of the rest of the world pay. I would have thought that would be a good thing.
I agree with the prices of everything being crazy, but AG has waited. Looking at the date of the Steam suggested price mark up and when AG normalized pricing. They waited long enough.
