They are preparing for patch and influx of people. They will start giving discounted prices on MARKS after that xD
The reason I believe they should have communicated with us is simple. I think its bad PR, they look greedy to some customers. People will or already have imputed bad intent on AGS side about that.
I think they could have prevented some of it.
Personally, I was more surprised and confused about the pricing rather than upset about the actual cost to buy these things and looked for a reason. I couldn’t find one that made sense to me.
What are the prices in the US?
I will check saturday/sunday and update you about the prices in CHF.
This seems an odd question as I have mentioned it and referred to it several times.
Thank you but if you just give us the price of one or two packages in CHF, I am sure we can take it from there.
I think you will find I explained that previously. It is obvious that between aligning prices with the dollar and exchange rates, these price changes are totally justified. This has led to a long, and often pointless discussion on the subject.
Had AGS made this announcement, they would be the one’s defending this against EVERY troll on these forums. This would be much worse for their PR than a few unhappy people who don’t understand why they have to pay more, even when they know they are now paying the same as everyone else.
A screenshot of your store page in CHF will show if this statement is correct or not.
Lot of that is incorrect ![]()
Give us your screenshot showing MoF prices in CHF.
derailing the discussion
by talking about the price of MoF in a particular currency in a thread entitled “Price of Marks suddenly gone up by … a lot”?
Hello?
yes thats right
thats how it should be if they want to earn money from countries like mine
because 100$ is too much money here…
no one will pay that much money for game currency in my country
I think you are beginning to understand my point.
AGS were selling items with little to no value, like emotes and skins. Now they have added something (season pass) that does actually have some value (in game anyway), so they are making sure that everybody that benefits from it pays the same amount to get it.
people who like the game will pay even some of the people who are complaining. Let them capitalize on the time and resources spent into this game. You are not forced to buy anything. If you want to hang with the Jones then buy the stuff. Simple nothing to read hear but gripes and complaints.
Agreed
The loudest seem to have taken advantage of it the longest and now seeing an investment possibly stagnate. Why? Cause they do not want to admit that battle pass will be how everyone will get skins.
And with transmog around the corner, trash gear in any track can be useful.
I will check saturday/sunday and update you about the prices in CHF.
Did you get a chance to check?
In Turkey’s market, MoF prices 5x 6x’ed. It is known that Turkish currency is decreased in value against USD but 5x 6x prices are really high since there is a huge inflation rn. I used to buy even crappy skins but now its out of budget for at least 80-90% of players who lives in Turkey. Some people will come and say its your problem but they could arrange the price better so people can keep purchasing. Now its a dead market for us. Many people stopped buying MoFs
In Turkey’s market
How much are Marks of Fortune in Turkish Lire now, about 190 TRY for 10k MoFs?
10k is 105 TRY. Server transfers were 25 TRY now it is 150 TRY. Some people can find it low compared to USD but people’s purchasing power drastically dropped in last 2 years.
Then it could be consistent with AGS having set the exchange rate and the value of the TRY changing considerably, as you said
It is known that Turkish currency is decreased in value against USD
The price for you has gone up a lot but you are still paying a little over half what US citizens and most of the rest of the world pay. I would have thought that would be a good thing.
I know its a little over half from what other people pays but the price is surreal in this economy. That’s what i said earlier.
I agree with the prices of everything being crazy, but AG has waited. Looking at the date of the Steam suggested price mark up and when AG normalized pricing. They waited long enough.
