Price of Marks suddenly gone up by... A LOT?

But the prices in $, £ and Euro all seem about the same given the current exchange rates.

Your words state you rely on assumptions and favoritism.

While exchange rates are absolute.

The other thing that is forgotten, due to exchange rates, the base inflation variable changes with those exchange rates.

I’m not looking at this form any technical aspect, I am looking at this from the consumer point of view. Them raising the prices at the same time people in the UK are struggling to pay their gas and electric bills is bonkers.

I would like to see some reasoning from AGS, the Devs or a mod.

Yes, but that is where the second part of my post comes in. They want the price to be roughly the same wherever it is bought, so there is no real advantage in buying it from one country over another.

I just wish they didn’t put it up, I was really happy to pay the £28 I was regularly. I’m not willing to pay £41 for the same pack. I can buy* an entirely new game for the cost of an outfit and a weapon skin.

Yes, I think there is every chance they will lose money, or at least sales, from this. But they are doing the right (moral) thing. If everyone was not treated as equally as possible, then there would be uproar, as it is there will just be a few upset people that now think items are not worth buying because they cannot justify spending that much on them.

OK, sorry, I missed the taxes.
Nevertheless, the € prices were raised.
That is +€7, which corresponds to an increase of ~17%.

The new price in Euros does bring it roughly in line with the $50 in the US (maybe slightly higher but exchange rates do tend to change).

March ? No. Not for the moment, maybe at the end of the year, at the same moment or after the expansion. Scott Lane said that is not impossible ! But I think that for the moment they will try to sell some games before F2P

yes prices gone way too high
at first prices was really good for me i purchased like 3 times 100k marks of fortune
but now price of that 4 times higher
and i sure am wont be buying that much anymore…
making the prices this high only prevent them from earning more
because if its too much i wont buy it
if its reasanable price im sure every1 buy it…

and im pretty sure ags’s earnings are dropped after they raised the price…
because ppl like me stopped buying it…

I am guessing you bought them from a country and with a currency that did not equate to the same value in dollars.

Your 100k MoF did not cost you the equivalent of $100 (ish)

more reason that I dont buy in game currency, you provide nothing but hype and deliver nothing but disappointment

@MessiahB I can see this being a way to push towards BP premium purchase.

This all could have been done earlier, but MTX was the only way create extra profit. The odd pricing in certain regions did not add up for quite a while.

The timing does seem to be a push to having a stable pattern of profit. And a push away from the MTX whale model.

Yet players will find a way to buy a pack and still complain about the cost of living crisis.

Yep, they know how to prioritise :grimacing: :grimacing:

Humans do be like that and need the dopamine hits.

I haven’t missed a single cosmetic since the game came out, now I will which will mean I no longer care to “keep up” with them.

Many people like me are happy to buy the cosmetics and skins and tents whatever but not when they put their prices up.

You don’t bite the hands that are feeding you.

Now less money will be coming in, I see this battle pass being huge failure, especially when everyone realises the prices have suddenly gone up.

I do agree 100%.

If i like a game I am also happy to pay for the extra that make the game look a little more aesthetically pleasing to my eyes.

To have read of such a dramatic increase in price was shocking and that’s coming from myself that has no living crisis to worry about. Like you I will not be paying such an absurd increase and will make do with what I have.

Some players I am sure will push the boat out a little further than normal and actively support such a huge increase as “Download” above says, “basically to get a dopamine hit”.

So they have equalised the A$ along with the rest of the world. $50 ~ A$73.
