Defiant Stance, a skill with a very high CD that only lasts 8s.
Fortify Shield Rush, a “shield rush” skill perk that lasts only 4s and has a cd of 20s
Keenly Fortified, only lasts 3s and has a 10s cd.
And then we have: Shirking Fortification.
An armor perk that lasts for 6s and has no cd. (can stack up to 5 times).
I currently have 5 Shirking Fortification in my set, which gives me approximately 20% fortify per successful dodge for 6 seconds.
That is, this single perk gives me almost the same fortify as the strongest tank skill “Defiant Stance”, it lasts almost the same time, but it doesn’t have any cd.
What I want to show with this is not the “Shirking Fortification” perk needs a nerf, I think it’s properly balanced. But yes, the other buffs need to be improved both in their duration and in their cd, if not both.
I’d have to see it. I had the understanding that damage reduction reduced the base damage of whatever is hitting you, and fortify raised your own defense.
I also thought one was “pre-mitigation” (fortify) and the other was “post-mitigation” (defiant stance). But if you test, take 50% fortify and then use defiant stance, the damage taken doesn’t reduce.
