Normalize GS

Use consumables for power ups and buy certain Gear. Consumables are auto acquired at intervals to depend class spec as the game progresses. Can be changed at the cost of umbral any time. Tier up your gear with Tokens and Umbral.

Buy things that buff your character and go up by tier and token price.

Ghouls run down lanes towards forts with siege equipment and M10 Skeleton Archers sit on Ramparts with a wall that blocks view to the center of lanes for a, “Field of View,” Range. Gain Tokens by player kills and being near Ghoul deaths.

Bring your own talent tree

All builds start with Iron Weapons, buy each tier til orichalcum 590GS items. Upon Tier V, unlock Named Items that are cheap at 600 GS and Skeleton Pieces that are 625 for different build paths that are fully customizable. Tiering up costs Tokens and skeletons cost Umbral.

Umbral is rewarded through objectives and Kills/Assists.

Consumables: Can only pick 3.

  • +5%/10%/20%/25%/35% on all consumables.
    → Weapon Damage
    → Damage Absorption
    → Critical Damage
    → Critical Chance
    → Physical ABS x2
    → Elemental ABS x2
    → DmgType Ward x3
    → Ability Damage
    → CDR
    → CC Durations +

Equipload potion, sets your equipload weight regardless of armor. Auto-sets resists based on Equipload Potion.

Named Weapons:

→ All have unique playstyles, for example:


→ Berserkers hatchet
→ Blackguards Hatchet


→ Lazarus Bow
→ BlackGuards Bow


→ Unlocks Skeleton Weapons.

Skeleton Weapons:

→ More expensive but fully customizable
→ Costs significant umbral to finish Skeleton Weapon.
→ Buy skeleton Pieces, gem and add perks as you see fit.
→ Works like skeleton Armor but only crafts on third perk.

Named Armor:

→ Named Armor Sets buy in one purchase.
→ Equipload is changed via equipload Potion.
→ unlocks Skeleton Armor

Skeleton Armor:

→ Skeleton pieces cost Tokens and first Two Perks cost Tokens as well. Adding a Third Perk costs Umbral. Heavy Umbral Cost for Third Perk.
→ Buy the Craft Mods to add it to each piece.
→ Buy Craft Mod go to Crafting Station, select Skeleton piece. (Like Timeless shards but the skeleton piece keeps added mods)
→ Skeleton Piece becomes a full item on third perk add.

Idea is to progress like you would in Normal New World.

Reaching 590 GS through Tiers then acquiring Named items Weapons and Armor. Next Step is custom 2 perk Armor, then depending what you want, stick with a decent named item weapon or craft a skeletal Custom Weapon. Last step is slowly 3 perking all your gear through Umbral through objectives like killing Baron/Brute or capping an enemy fort.

It wouldn’t be New World without big teams, so instead of 5v5, it’s 15v15.

3 lanes, 5v5, 5v5, 5v5.

Queue up as a 5-man or solo queue with role identifier, primary and secondary.

You ask too much from them. They still need to figure how to make enemy spells red.

Fair point. At the same time…

OPR is a 20v20 MoBA.

Duelling Arena is a 3v3 MoBA.

Wars are a 50v50 MoBA.

They’re just Bring your own Gear.

They need normalized activities for cohesion between all levels and all GS players.

Reserving EVERYTHING for 625 just creates 0 new players and no friendliness when being introduced to New World.

Also, the lack of Dark Souls combat like multiplayer options means New World can capitalize on this Genre. Creating a Normalized, new-player friendly game mode can be a draw factor for people who enjoy MoBA’s. (Me. And all my gaming buddies.)

It’s no secret New World is siding with theme park MMO. Why not make it vast.

All these paths lead to something boring.

Which is the balance.

I think they try hard and have a lot of hurdles.
I’m sure many meeting to improve problems and yet implementation is difficult

To be fair… They should balance within each activity rather than globally. They could easily add automatic buff/debuff upon entering 3v3’s and OPR then balance for Wars/Open World since they are very close in mechanics.

Battlebread, haste pot and stamina pot in OPR make it a mini-metas of its own with Rolly Polly’s so it should definitely get its own balances and 3v3’s is mainly small scale. It’s not even 5v5, so again it should get its own balances.

From the code that I’ve gone through… Oh man… Lol.

They laid a foundation for the game then it seems like they were rushed and they just started tying strings together to make it functional instead of making brand new knots. It’s a mess.
