Thats the boat i’m in. Spent over a year using the hatchet. Now my whole gameplay style I learned is gone.
Yeah and it would not be a big deal if gear did not take so long to grind. Why is gearing the end game in a PvP mmo? No way in hell im grinding for hundreds of hours again to get another build. In a PvP mmo people should be even geared so skill shines, not a thousand hours of pve.

Ancient Intentions decent named musket you can get from regular Laz with Accuracy, Enchanted, Vorpal. Maybe not BIS but certainly won’t take 100’s of hours farm.
Does not change the fact that you will still miss shots to RNG if you are trying to actually move while fighting melee/bows/firestaffs. Muskets are FORCED to use no con to do damage. Musket players do not have the luxury to sit still in fights.

Musket was strong and terrible to play against so I don’t think a change was unwarranted but a range nerf would have definitely been better. Making something more RNG is never a good solution

Bows shouldn’t be able to have the same HP pool as tanks or bruisers and still shoot what equates to nuclear warheads in this game.
One hit from a bow hits harder than a heavy swing from a 2H weapon.

I think the musket needed a rework. Its pretty bad for most content but I thought it was cool they had a musket in an MMO. I dont think having RNG shots is the way to “fix” it.
Maybe next patch they can add further RNG. Any shot has X chance of misfiring causing weapon lock and damage to yourself. Must wait 5 seconds to clear weapon lock ![]()
Imagine qqing about dying to someone sitting in rocks. Maybe learn to move better instead of running around like a bot.

Machine gun bows and muskets never should have been a thing. You should have to reswt and slow down as a tradeoff for the massive range advantage. Even if they elimated the range hit scan and fire rate still had to be addressed.
I can’t even use it for armadillo hunting anymore.
Travel time, bullet drop, and some damage falloff would have been fine.
