Voicing my thoughts on the matter =/= complaining about the matter.
People who tell others to stop speaking up about issues. Are the main reason why game is dropping players faster than a sack of bricks. After awhile these people will wonder why New World got shutdown just like Crucible.
Anyways have fun. And hope not enough people just follow your advice, till there is no game left.
This is ridiculous, you are telling me you can’t make 1k per week? (3 houses) You can do like 1 outpost rush a week and some daily PvP faction quests all and all it’s like an hour a week to make that gold. Please stop this nonsense…
Man this is literally a 20 year old debate. I remember threads like yours back in Ultima online in 2001…
An MMO dies when people reach end game and have nothing to do. Players need hard things to do or they leave. If gearing raids etc are easy then they just quit.
You simply have no arguments that can stand in this subject. What they need to do in order to appease casuals is what FF did:
They need cosmetics that rock. Cosmetics that only people that can spend real money can buy, That way the casual gamer will have something that the nolifer doesnt have without intruding in his end game experience.
Saying “Property Taxes-Some of us have a life” is not your thoughts on the matter. It’s you saying that you can’t earn 2 k per 5 days which is completely unbelievable. 2k is 8 faction quests per 5 days ffs. You don’t have 2 hours per week to do 8 quests???
I don’t mind how much it is, it’s the frequency of paying it that will be a problem. People go on holiday for more than a week sometimes. I’ve played games where you can pay weeks in advance and that would be useful here
Just curious. If you were out of town for a week. Why would having an active house matter? You can’t play the game for the week you are gone…so why pay the housing tax for when you aren’t going to be there?
You know there aren’t back-taxes or any kind of punitive charges for not paying right?
you don’t lose your house if you don’t pay, it goes in to a inactive state is all and you can’t use it to teleport, or get the bonuses from your trophies. it’s better to just not pay and then reactive it by paying when you come back and save your gold.
Cost between 400 to 500+ gp to repair one high end piece of gear. Only people not complaining about money are the town owners of EverFall and Windsward who basically make money like it’s going out of style, while the rest of us are “living pay check to check”. Just like real life it seems.
I didnt play for 3-4weeks AT ALL due to irl stuff
Still have over 70k on my Char
Why tf would I buy a house if I’m not comitted to play every day
It’s like people got so used to getting EVERYTHING for free it’s quite insane
I can only assume you guys complaining about this have similar financial issues irl lol
You can buy, decorate, enjoy the benefits of buffs, storage and teleport. You can even not pay taxes for weeks and weeks, and you will not be owing. Im casual player and I play 2-3 days a week for few hours, but I still can buy big house and afford taxes. When I won’t be online for a week lets say I won’t pay
Not everyone wants to come home to do chores. They want to come home and enjoy what little time off they have. Not spend the majority of their time running to far ass faction missions.
Remove property tax from the game.
I play a game to escape having to think about paying my mortgage in RL
I do not want to come into game and try and earn a living just to pay the rent in game.
Shroud of Avatar tried that and it was a fail.
Stop taxing players, this is not the real world, its a game and should be fun from every angle, not a drag.
Yes but we also did 50 levels of town projects, defend the town from invasions, get taxed for trades, get taxed for crafting.
Games without housing tax are so much more enjoyable than having to worry about getting taxed just to play. Try playing without a house and being on the opposing faction that owns the entire map, it sucks.
i am on a server that the entire map is green and im purple. so I do have 2 houses and an INN. I pay taxes whenever I want to play. I chose areas where taxes are low, but also strategic areas location-wise. But taxes can go up or down so I make sure I have at least 33% or so proprety tax discount.
