X for doubt, you got banned for using the minimap mixed with 3rd party macros probably setting your character to somewhat bot. IDK what you did and how you did it but you used more then the overwolf minimap to give yourself an advantage.
Still wrong, the minimap from Overwolf is an overlay. It dosenât modify any game files and is the same as having a browser window on top of your game window. Or would you call that a mod as well lol.
That Wow add on crap excuse doesnât fly here. It seems the Devâs want everyone using the same UI and controls. No addon, no macros, no scripts
I love it!
Why would the reason be obvious, unless you mean that theyâre hiding whatever is resulting in their godawful, street-tier sloppy CS? Banning players who arenât told why theyâre banned does nothing but remove players from the game. Frankly speaking, it doesnât seem like the devs need CSâ help for this, the execs have made sure that players perform the exodus entirely voluntarily.
I think the way theyâve been handling bans is just the equivalent of a quick search for any vulgarity in their log, then bam they hand out the ban even if that particular excerpt wasnât the reported bit.
This would normally be a very easy theory to repeal, but AGSâ CS team seems adamantly determined to be as opaque as possible while accomplishing as little as possible.
I get thereâs a lot of work, but this game will deadass die on the back of these wanton bans and the very blase response of âwhatever nerd just submit an appeal.â
Meanwhile, appeals are receiving all sorts of garbage responses, most of which are very canned and generic anyway.
Why even bother if the care is so low that this passes for CS?
EDIT: sorry for rant but this issue is a sticking point for me.
Shh⌠shh. No one spoil the surprise!
Thereâs no stuff that would get you in trouble with the Overwolf minimap as it is now, people dont need to waste time removing options daily. There are no options that break ToS as it is now, and it is not cheating.
Typically, bans occur in waves in order to obfuscate the methodology used and exact behavior for the ban. They do this so that players canât adjust behavior or otherwise deduce how/why their ban occurred. If they didnât do this, players would find workarounds to their ban detection methodologies, for example.
Other than the alleged auto bans the bans being handed out today are not usually for behavior that happened yesterday. The reasons I said these points are obvious is because it doesnât take a lot of thought to understand what Iâm describing here and it matches with how every game Iâve played over the past decades handled ban waves.
But, yes, I do agree with you that we canât be expected to care more than the devs and, subsequently, I donât care much. Iâve written that at least twice in this thread alone.
No, they said if it PULLED anything [i.e. from the game] other than player location it would be bannable. The map overlay does not do that.
A lot of people A very vocal minority keep misquoting that to push their own agenda.
You cannot trust ANYTHING their live support people say. I have screenshots of one telling me to do something that is explicitly called out in the ToS as grounds for permaban.
Confirmed wrong.
I find it rather telling that all you do is get hangup on the definition without any counter argument. Overlay/mod/hack who cares what we refer to it as - the point is it is a 3rd party program that is giving you more information than non-users have and that is the problem.
TL;DR
Just use your eyes
Then AGS should do either A) add it in themselves or B) Keep allowing it
Itâs only a disadvantage if you donât use the tools available.
Not only pulled but showsâŚ
I think itâs fair to tie being banned with something being against the ToS.
But itâs a moot point since it was already stated they arenât going to ban anyone before they warn people, and most likely they would just block Overwolf instead regardless.
Moot point*
A map shows things. So we cannot use a map? This seems like an example of unclear and ambiguous information, since if we really had to go buy what Kay said here then simply using a map with information gathered and entered manually by other users would be against the ToS. More clear and far less vague statements have been made since specifically mentioning that pulling data is the problem, and further, that the current Overwolf functionality is not problematic, but that they want to note that this doesnt mean future Overwolf functionality will be accepted. I really think that is what they are scared of: to say that Overwolf is okay, and then if the functionality changes to something not ok, and then people will scream âBUT YOU SAID IT WAS OK AND NOW YOU WILL BAN ANYWAY!!!â and I think they want to avoid that.
can you provide official API site i only found nom official APIs on google
Open game > settings > show fps > look in the top right
this is not API,
but image Detection is part of list included on Abuse or Cheat.
Tell to many bots on CS.
Any Automated Actions not provided by game its cheating.
âits not a human action its automated action based on OCRâ
a basic cheating but still cheating
using this logic its permited play counter strike, using OCR to detect
players and paint a rectangle arround
