If you are alphabetically re-ordering the server list to select the world/server before creating your character, the game incorrectly renames the servers, leading you to the wrong server.
Proof:
Notice server Tritonis is selected twice, but the server is actually Aarnivalkea.
+1 for visibility. This same bug happened to me as well and now I am in queue position 4,000+ due to starting on the wrong server because of the UI bug
Not certain if same bug.
My character is on El Dorado (US West). I was checking on Titles in the Bio page when I noticed that “Ortygia” (also a US West server) was under my character name. But, I ran to town and saw friends/members of known company on El Dorado. Asked and confirmed they were showing “El Dorado” on their Bio page. So, pretty sure my character was logged on El Dorado and only labeled “Ortygia”.
