PTR 1.2: Armor type and PVP damage type don't matter as much as GS

Musket is getting its reload speed nerfed to pre 1.1

Yup, pvp scaling meaning doesn’t matter what you equip you will be equal to everyone, even someone level 60 vsus a level 50, will have the same damage and defense. On the pve side, you won’t get scaling.

Damage mitigation for PvE and PvP is calculated differently especially before since there was scaling with gear scores and levels.

What that means in damage mitigation is unknown…

Oh look, another MMO developer unable to design PvP scaling that works. Now where have I seen this before…

This is why I haven’t played in a few days and I’m not sure if I will come back. I’m broke because our server is empty. No OPR, whole guild is offline. Noone to run the PVE content to grind WM.

I have no faith in the game economy after all the gold dupes. Everything endgame is super inflated due to all the extra gold floating around.

I have no trust that when I equip a piece of gear that I am working for, that is actually does anything.

The most fundamental parts of the game their are a totally busted and it just doesn’t seem like it’s worth wasting any more time on nothing.

Maybe you should… you know… watch videos before you start claiming that the information they contain is incorrect? It would save you some face.

I test this today… and i am really really concern.

I test the damage recived with a Heavy armor 580 GS
ANd test a medium armor with 575GS.

Guess what…

I recive MORE DAMAGE with the heavy armor that with a medium armor.

This is a bad joke Amazon.

Can agree this is the case. As sword shield tank in heavy armour. I might as well be naked for all the good it does. Dodge has always been slow, fair enough im wearing heavy armour no issue, low dodge high defence. Now its low dodge no defence. And tank is unplayable. If calculations are based on the opponents GS (solely or not?) Then we literally might as well be naked as gear bears no impression other than cosmetic? Pvp was good before this patch now its all kinds of messed up.

I feel exacly like you man. No point at all to be HEAVY, this is a bad joke. You have 0 damage or heal bonus with heavy AND take MORE damage LOL. ¿How is posible that AGS didnt notice this nonsense in the PTR?

Not sure why they even touched armour mitigation calculation. Everyone stopped complaining about heavy armour after they nerfed heavy heals. All they had to do was change GA Lunge, not 90% of everything in PVP. Makes no sense.

Maybe you should. You know… Read the whole thread before you post a “passive aggressive” answer. You would have seen that I have acknowledged my mistake and also posted a theory about what went wrong for the PvP side. It would save you some face (for whatever that means on the Internet).

¿Still no oficial answer? This is pretty bad, i dont wanna play pvp anymore with this trash system. A Light Armor NEVER could take same damage than a Heavy armor. ¿That make sense for you AGS?

If you would take the time to test things yourself you would know the armor mitigation ON LIVE SERVERS are fine. This was a video from PTR.

Why is anyone posting about PTR stuff here? PTR stuff is subject to change. Just post it in the PTR section when you can.
