[PTR] Bow Hitbox unclarity

Hi all,
Question for the DEV team based on this testing video:

Would you be able to clarify better the changes applied to the passive and the hitbox?

It looks like everything is down to 0.15 regardless of it being charged, light or skill based attack.

Maybe the description is incorrect and/or something in the fix ain’t working?

Can you also quantify the current “no dodge” window after the third arrow of rapid shot?

Damn looks like you actually have to hit your target now, bow dead I guess

It’s probably a mistake in the description in the patchbooks. They will make everything to 0.15

Well, they really upgraded melee, so we’ll have to switch to melee. One of the developers said he plays for melee combat with a shield. It’s their game, the feeling that they made it for themselves, and we are just here for the masses, so they were not bored. I do not know.

Now melee is not only attracted by the attack to the nearest target from a distance of 3 meters and he does not need to aim at all: you look in one direction, but still hit the enemy, so the game force you to hit ahahahaha
But now also each attack, each one, imposes a slow. I might also be fine with that as long as I know exactly what I’m going to face and be ready to prepare for it.
I admit the whole patchnote made me think something totally different like:

  • light attacks down to 0,15 (fine by me)
  • charged attacks 0,33 (fine by me)
  • skills including exploding arrows 0,33 (fine be me)

They specifically mentioned 0,33 more than once in the note so for me it’s all confusing.

  • did they smoke weed and wrote a totally wrong note?
  • did they make a mistake and the actual fix is not doing what they are expecting (so they will fix the fix)?
  • is it a mix of the 2?

Whatever is fine as long as it is clear!

Bro, you got it wrong. with the “arrow range” passive hitbox was 0.33, now it will be 0.15 for all. Doesn’t matter light or heavy attack. I’m from PTR right now.

Aye that’s what I’m learning too however the “(…) Now all primary arrows will have 0.15 and all changed shot will have a radius of 0.33.(…)”

That part is actually confusing me a lot, the way I read it is that everything was incorrectly at 0.33 with that passive before and now it’ll be split in 0.15 for primary arrows and 0.33 for charged shots.

I don’t see a “all to 0.15 now”.

That’s why I don’t get it it’s badly represented note or a mistake in how they deployed it :slight_smile:

But they did the opposite. Because before the current ptr build there was a hitbox which is described in the patch note and using “arrow range” hitbox became 0.33 instead of 0.15.
In this ptr build the arrow range passive ability no longer affects the hitbox and all shots have 0.15

Musket got HUGE nerfs as well to damage over range which is fair imho bow not the only one with nerfs might be good to play mage now i think
