So maybe 2 trophies are bugged?

Nah, tonight I got 585-600 and out of 40 weapons about 8 of them were 2 perks that would for high value. Got like 5 legendaries.
No BiS. Weapons aren’t significantly better since their perk pool wasn’t affected greatly by skill perks being accumulated, but it’s still better. Keen and vicious is very often.

I think its fine. Regardless of crafting this split stat system they want implimented is going to make everyone re-gear anyway.
My biggest thought is the stopwatch. Why make it constitution when you’re forcing people into dual stat gear as the endgame goal?
Just make the stop watch be a choose your own stat choice. Click the drop down and select what stat you want. Split stat, primary stat, what have you. Also, lodestone is 2x the price of Orichalcum. Since we are making runestones very, very important, I think adding lodestone nodes would be a good idea or increasing yield per node based on there being 0 huge lodestone nodes. The only reason it hasn’t been a problem is because the need for runestone didn’t heavily outweigh the daily cooldown. Lodestone is already 1.25 per on my server and the patch isn’t even here yet. Runestone is already up to 200 gold.
Why is it BoP? To reduce use of it from non crafters? This may help with prices of lodestone but I’m not sure exactly how it will go. For now, people started crafting their daily runestones and it is SKYROCKETING.
Also, I think it’s fine the way it is. The entire population of New World is going to have re-gear depending on how you guys do this next update. Giving us a little help is fine.
It’s still difficult to craft a hand-selected piece of gear with timeless shards and if the dual stat items CANT be made with a timeless shard, you RNG roll all 3 perks and force a split stat craft mod and roll 3 perks for your EndGame BiS gear, meanwhile if you want your BiS perks, and you’re okay with not having 550, you can easily roll your 500 stat gear.
Dual Stat gear rolling is endgame BiS.
Timeless Shard crafting would be the 95% BiS.
So endgame would be hitting 550 stats instead of 22 perks on armor/jewelry.
Just depends on how you guys want to go about it and what your goal is.
Would you mind asking a developer for a detailed explanation of what their goal is for this dual stat system? It could help us better understand the reasoning for many changes so we can give better feedback.
My guess is,
- Make endgame gear free rolling 3 perks without shards by forcing split stats as endgame BiS.
- Make timeless shard crafting 95% BiS by choosing a perk and having the RNG odds significantly better.
- Excluded con from the split stat argument based on wanting endgame builds to be based off of something like 300/150 con and 50/50 or 100 points into a non-primary stat resulting in small spec differences between the same builds.
I think you could just make timeless shard crafting the gear we have now and free rolling without a timeless shard makes crafted gear with a bonus 5 stats.

I’m being told again, I said what will happen after this update comes. This is an MMORPG game, of course, it has to be difficult. I even want to add that this game is easy even now, so why?
Because already dungeons, Elite bosses, chests, It offers us a lot of NamedBiS items and even more funny, even if you find these items 590+ epic, you can make it legandary for a very low cost
this already simplifies the game. Considering the current crafting and drop rates, this game is really easy in the MMORPG class. And as if the conveniences I said weren’t enough, you’re oversimplifying crafting.

For some spoiled people, create Single player mode of the game and turn on cheat access and those people hang out there.
Items go for well over gold cap now. Even two perk items go for half gold cap. “work like slaves” is an entire different dimension when this is the case. I’ve never played an MMO where shit constantly goes for gold cap+ or even half gold cap. There is a serious problem with this.
As for the luck comment. Yes some people have extremely poor luck. I am one of those. I had to buy just about everything I have because no matter how much I grind to try and loot something that shit just doesnt drop for me. Recent example is I have 3 major loot luck trophies(all bought btw) full voidbent armor with full pearls and all bags with luck. I’ve been farming ephemeral seal for over 100 hours with no drop. Ive been at that shit for two straight weeks of 6-10 hours a day before i said screw it and started taking breaks from it. I need 3 of these. Its ridiculous. The guy is a two minute spawn. The item is a 1% increase over something that drops like candy. You think I didnt “work like a slave” hard enough to get one of three yet? There is zero reason to make this item this rare. All it does is piss people off and make them quit. I was close.
There is “work like a slave” and insane. AGS is past the insane category of grind. This is why everyone quit. People play games that have fun content and reward people for their time and efforts. There is no carrot in NW. They make sure you never get it. Even if you do its so frustrating by the time you do that it doesnt feel good. It just feels about f’ing time relief. This is why no one plays. Complete disrespect of players time. Eventually they will learn this but probably way too late like everything else.
The way I see it is like this:
- Crafting was always a headache for almost 90% of the playerbase. Even the big gun crafters are most of the times not happy with their results.
- If the update comes out the way it is, gear will be cheaper but the amount of possible gear options you will have will be enough to fill the gap.
Back in the day if you got mortal something it was mostly clasified crap but in the PTR all mortal perks are better. This is the case for a lot of other perks since they will be buffed.
Instead of having some res+shirking fort+weapon perk = 500k to 600k price
You will have res+multiple other perks = 50k to 100k price
Or something like that… I guess you get the idea.
In the end there is a new patch in Autumn which will come with some new areas to explore and in the most cases in MMORPG’s new items, new perks, new lvl, new everything.
So, you might have won with the crafting system for almost a year now it’s time to let everyone have fun in crafting.
Imho, the priorities are still not right with the devs (on this issue).
It is good they are adjusting crafting, albeit slowly, the problem lies with a future player base.
Make crafting worthwhile whilst leveling. Make it so, that when u are leveling the player sees the point of crafting.
When I was leveling, by the time I had the skill lvl/resources I needed, I was either past said level, as in outdated, or I just got a better drop from Amrine or whatever.
Until they fix this, crafting is still not worthwhile.
Crafting needs to be made attractive for new players first.
