True, I’m not sure how much it truly affects live if just this was implimented but what I do know is that it drastically cripples mobility regardless of stamina. Which is good, but we all know the aids of IG already…
In fairness, they got rid of the dodge lock, so maybe it would essentially be the same rather than worse?
From what I’ve tested and trying to be as unbiased as possible. I’m pretty sure it will be a step back. Of all the people I have spoken to on the PTR I haven’t found anyone that likes it so far…
You might be right and I’d be happy to be wrong. I am fairly certain it will be pretty unanimously disliked if it reaches live.
I appreciate your thoughts though, it’s cool when you can discuss these things
I feel like any form of slows is going to be the new meta if the shorter dodge change goes through, which is not really an improvement over what we’re already doing to people.
Screw the actual CC, just apply the 4 second slow with your hammer and watch them do tiny little rolls trying to escape the next hit. Ice mages wont even bother with trying to heavy attack to root you, you’ll be slowed and it will be enough for you to get piled on.
It’s just a different way to feel bad about having no control over your character in the midst of combat.
But this change isn’t doing it. People are still kiting on the PTR because this only slowed down combat. It did not increase combat uptime.
Get rid of the stamina nerf it isn’t having the result desired.
Melee needs added tracking and it actually needs to work. Nothing is more frustrating than being on top of someone with an ability or a melee attack and it misses simply because they pressed W.
If you can figure out a way to fix combat so that someone who isn’t in the dodge animation can be hit.,that would solve so many problems.
Nobody is asking for combat to be slowed down. People want to actually be able to hit with more than 50% of attacks.
