more grind , on top of grind with some grind and some sweet rng on rng on rng , Can any1 who wanted a GS incease 3 months into the game raise a hand ? this is fking hillarious . You have stats of your own game or what ? tell me % of active playerbase that has full 600 bis gear and that they are the only bored ones i guess and thats who u target to entertain ? what , the actual . fuck .
The whole GS increase and the upgrading system is the most unnecessary update they’ve done in a while.
It’s like they checked out The Division 1, and was like “yeah! everyone loved the loot system in that, lets go with that design!”
lol this is actually so true , that i first giggled but now i am really sad
sad giggles in sympathy
i suppose itll still be viable to have gear thats high gear score but not over 600, but it wont considered “the best” the difference from someone in 625 gear score gear to 590 prob will only be a couple %. I do agree though thats its not fair an should be amended that any gear over 590 (the current expertise cap) should be able to be upgraded to give a fair chance to everyone.
Even let us upgrade them and they never become legendary. It’s just the fact if it was 1 GS higher and had an awful third perk it would be eligible just seems like a really strange cherry-pick.
I jump on this train aswell. Every gear below 600 is devalued. Perhaps I will mass craft shitty 600 gear to make good money until AGS change it, because they will change that in some way.
Agreed, my dreadful legendaries have sold overnight thanks to this awful change. However, the BIS 599 purple crafts will be very hard to shift for decent money.
Maybe there is a silver line here with expertise being capped at 600, maybe this means we might get a lot more legendary drops. But it still adds a lot of grinding. I just got all my armor slots to 590 but no weapon is capped after more than 400 hours played. It just feels demoralizing knowing i have to start grinding again for expertise.
If they really want to add a new gearing system, this umbral shard could have been used to upgrade 590 to 600 for now. Then when a new expansion, with new land mass and new dungeons is being added, expand the umbral shard to the system is being presented now.
Hah, I was ranting that I quit the division over excessive gear score increases.
100% agree. If AGS really decide to go for this then do scaleing in PvP like Gw2.
I completely get there will be more 600 drops for us to use. HOWEVER, the RNG in this game is crazy! Not only do you need the correct weight class, you then also need the correct stats, that’s before you even consider having 1 2 or even 3 of the right perks. For example, I am 900 hours deep and I have not once had a drop for myself that I have used. I sell my drops and hope someone else gets something for me.
Please devs stop adding grind mechanism into the game. We want enjoy doing PvE but not grind it to progress.
Have you checked how many ppl began to camp specific Resources just to be efficient ? I can’t stand this logic. If i roam around the world without doing materials routes or grind Dungeons with Portals and chests then i can’t progress. You force normal playstyle to transform into something that none would enjoy doing, the grindy playstyle. Most of us are not Hardcore players.
It’s not for you. Pretty much dead in the water if you don’t know how to make gold to but BiS items.
I can’t even craft 600 level gear because the crafting system in this game is complete garbage. It’s nothing but a grind fest. It’s taking me FOREVER to level up my craftings. I literately have to spend hours gathering up resources… having to fight bots for nodes, etc… I don’t find it fun. This might be my calling to call it quits… Unless if the @Developer can retract their patch notes statement.
I think this change will be some serious issue if it goes live without a backup plan for all <600 items. Playing MMO games for some decades now and actually this is the worst step you could have done. There are some good examples how upgrading mechanics can success, but this one is the wrong one.
What you are doing here is kinda divide poor from rich players. The casual is out and has nearly no chance to craft some good stuff to compete in expeditions or in wars (beside he’s lucky af).
Who had the idea to make only 600 items upgradeable? I’m actually curious what the plan is behind that smart idea. Without giving <600 crafted items any chance to be upgraded makes them all kinda trash. I mean, you balance the expedition mutations around gearscore but make that hard cut when it comes to rich players that can craft a ton of gear and casuals/poor players that actually can only craft a couple items. And combined with the worst economy you could design with settlement taxes, Everfall/Windsward owners will even shred more companies. I mean seriously, was it the same guy? Please, take your hat and leave the building.
That’s the worst idea I have seen in a LOT of MMOS the last 20 years. Everything below 600 will be salvaged. I mean that’s like equipping an 580 item right now. No one is doing that, because you need the stats for certain skill tresholds. You make exclusive materials 24h timegated and on the other hand you say: guys, good luck crafting 1 item every day and even if you hit the 600, congrats, it still could be epic, or gray, green, blue if you loot it. TF is that? I need the roll to hit the 600 and I need the roll to hit the legendary button. And only then, I am allowed to upgrade to max GS? You can do that in games like Diablo or Path of Exile where mobs throw gear on you like sweets.
Guys, we are human beings. We have a life like you, we have other things to do and places to go. We can’t play a farm simulator the whole day the whole week only to compete in endgame expeditions or in wars, while other people get everything for free only for owning a SETTLEMENT.
Correct. It’s by far (!!!) the worst idea I’ve ever heard of in any mmo.
HOW can you come up with crap like that and think people will cheer and shed some tears of joy and excitement? How delusional a person must be to think a step like that will not massively hurt the game and its community?
I’m sorry @devs but I have to bring that up after reading the 600 only upgrade. Sad but true.
People wait for content and you say: know what? just repeat what you have done so far. Was fun.
