Someone mentioned this happening to them in Windsward on city of brass earlier. They said it looked like a UFO was attacking
I investigated something like this the other day - I don’t know the name of the item, but there’s a bugged laser beam that color that comes from the floating skull in a crystal ball housing decoration. I’ve only seen it once personally but I’ve traced it back to the source via other people’s streams as well.
The one time I saw it in my game, going into someone else’s house on the plot and then back to open world made the laser disappear, but it would be harder to trace the source to the right plot with that much flashing.
Don’t worry. The UFO is being investigated and we’re trying to figure out if they come in peace. 
It is a housing item that causes this - many are finding out ‘how’ to do it and it is making being in settlements impossible for any length of time
@Aenwyn I believe it may be one of the halloween decor items - not sure which one. I tried going into the two houses there but didn’t identify which item did it.

found another one, Monarch Bluffs on Orofena, the narrow laser is definitely coming from the same skull in a crystal ball decoration as the last ones I saw in restless shores and first light here.
going into a different house on the plot and back made the laser go away, even when I visited the original house again.
This happened to me also a lot lately. Every time it happens it’s when I’m in a settlement.
