Most of whats in the patch is probably already tested and stable. I don’t get why they are trying so hard to push HUGE patches instead of making a lot of small patches.
Huge patches have a “wow” impact, but small patches send a signal to the player base that you actually care and work on frustrating issues instead of working on new features.
The new war mode crashes the server, the group finder also crashes.
the dungeon still needs tuning, and people are still on the fence about a LOT of the changes and additions, frequency, the perk % changes, the new orbs, salvaging, music blah blah blah.
It’s not ready. But it will be by the end of the month, after all the stability testing and feedback
People over in the PTR are really putting in serious work to help get this buttoned up. You should come check it out and see!
My point was, push what is stable right now, and keep working on what is not until it is. There is no need to wait until “everything” is “stable”. Fixing frustration issues should be priority #1.
They are doing micro patches very frequently, and adjustments. Which particular part of the latest patch do you feel like is complete and ready to go without any adjustment?
I don’t understand why the group finder is crashing the ptr server. It isn’t a complex system from what I saw on the ptr, maybe they need to change it since it puts you into a lobby chat instead of a group chat. Idk if the game is freaking out over that or what.
What i am suggesting, is that the final numbers for percentages are not complete. The frequency of drop chance, salvaging numbers, perk revisions, perk pools ect ect.
None of that is finalized, and nor should it be. They gave a time frame to be finished by, so that the numbers can be looked at, tested thoroughly by in house and public test feedback cycle.
There’s so much to test this go round that they are releasing it one week at a time inside the PTR. Just dumping it on live one week after testing is probably not a very good recipe, especially if it’s just to placate people for the sake of having something new every week :x
I doubt anyone has properly tested all the new perks/builds. I’m pretty sure there are going to be quite a few game breaking cheese builds next patch unless some of numbers get adjusted.
All of your points is about new features, or overhaul of an already existing feature. Which I agree with you should be properly tested.
But I think we can agree that other changes doesn’t need a month of testing, let’s talk about some minor changes like reducing the amount of XP needing to complete a refining skill (not that I care about this, it’s just an example of a minor change that could be push in a weekly update instead of pushing it at the same time as huge new features)
All I’m saying is, by experience, packing so much things in a patch is counter productive.
I do agree that simple changes like that should probably be changed on the fly, i suppose it really depends on if they are adjusting it because it’s too high. Or adjusting it because of something they changed, or are adding.
It looks like you can permanently stun people. In the video above, the axe thrower was able to lock down a healer until healer died. The healer was unable to move or cast anything.
Yea you need exhausting throw perk . Someone on PTR feedback told me it was looked into( skip to 7min on video and you’ll see what I’m talking about ) edit / you were talking about group finder and not video sry
