You need to make wars happen more often and cut the influence push in half, at the very least. There is nothing to do in game but war, for most of the players imo, so lessening the time to get to them equals more players playing your game. You want players to buy cosmetics then you need them to actually be playing your game right? I’m in a fairly big company but 75% only play when we have a war and even then some are not showing up.
So cut the influence push time in half and if possible make wars happen faster (this may be harder to implement and I get that but cutting the influence push time at least helps the grinding, sadly would not make the wars come any faster).
I generally enjoy this game, more of a PvE player, but war is fun and since there is no PvE content the only thing that brings me to play are the wars. Just me 2 cents.
At least you could go into war. My faction on my server controls 75% of the territories owned by 2 mega companies. Unless I switch faction or join one of those companies I can’t get into war. We could barely push influence.
And once a week, choosing 2 or 3 territories for a fort seige event. Basically, the defending territory must fend off the other factions. Whichever faction captures the fort, can declare.
Basically goes from a normal war, to invasion, to a seige event. (Like 24-48 hours after the invasion).
War should be expanded for sure, with war now being instanced, no reason to not have a WAR mode with OPR like rewards. This would be good practice and allow more people into war period.
Declaring war should mean more than we are going to have one fight later to decide the territory. I think it should involve many more scrimmages along the fort/camp that more company members can engage in, everyone should get some combat.
The “Framework idea” is there in the way that influence is pushed, but the problem is very few people will “Fight to slow influence”
There needs to be a system that once you “Own the territory” you need to maintain some presence on the fort during ownership. Perhaps if the fort gets flipped, a reason for the owning company to take it back, or keep it held a % of the time.
The incentive to fight must be laid out on a platter or people tend not to bite, and hold hands.
Yes, that’s my point exactly. If that were happening to me I would not be playing the game at all. I MAY come back for the summer update but probably not.
The amount of invasions that happen is so mind boggling. No one says, “gee I can’t wait to login for an invasion”. But everyone wants to login for war. More useless timegating.
If a company owns territory and thier members only login for war they should be punished imo. Inactive companies that do not maintain territory or have active town buffs do not serve the majority of players and punish those who do play by not running town buffs and upgraded stations to craft. If there’s a real company pushing effort say 10 people with Fort control it doesn’t take long.
