Put a stop to sold m10s…

Well I see a problem: I ve already been kicked out at the end of an M10 without my consent, so other teammate can sell my shards.

If this is not a problem, I don’t see what it could be

Until they balance PvP rewards, I’m all for shard selling being allowed.

You walk into gen and clear the first boss, and open that first chest, in 2 minutes? 3 minutes? Okay, 4 or 5 if you’re slow.
Congrats, you’ve now received more rewards than a 20 to 40 minute OPR match gives. 6000 shards for 10 to 20 minutes of your time in PvE, 2 gypsum a day from PvP, and a crate at the end of each match with a few items, but most-importantly, no shards.

The people buying shards are PvP players and alts. This is what happens when the only avenue to endgame is a PvE activity, in a game with both PvP and PvE endgames.

Umbral shards are backwards.

6000 umbrals should be rewarded for M1. Then lower it as you go higher. M10 should reward the best gear. This way new or undergeared players can run M1 and gear up for M10. Currently you have to run M10 to gear up for M10.

Ever tried to get M1-5 going lately? Nobody runs them. This is gatekeeping content
as is and needs change

A full generic set of purple ward/bane gear with an appropriate stat for your role (damage/focus/con) is all you’ll ever need to get through M10. Even the bane part isn’t even super important as long as you’re using a good DPS weapon.

The problem, from what I’ve seen this weekend, is simple; People don’t want to form their own groups, they want to join groups other players have formed.

The people that set out to form their own groups advance much faster than those who don’t.

I agree on this, i basically up my own codex up to ten by only helping on others m10’s. I don’t mind umbral system i actually kinda like it. But i also can understand that umbral should be higher for m1 to 5, then at 10 give the possibilty of a BIS or a cosmetic ítem or something worth while to exhibit to other players.

Opening an M10 doesn’t take one of your 25 weekly counters as long as you don’t enter. Open M10s for free for people who don’t have it unlocked, so they can either skip the M1-9 grind or at least get 4k shards faster than any other method. There are a lot of people who will never get to M10 now that there is a 25 weekly limit, so AGS has provided us with a way to help the community for free, because there is no orb cost anymore.

I’ve had a thought about this whole shard selling idea and the fact while many people may not have the time to run 25 mutations in a week or whatnot, how about adding Umbral Shard to the Faction Vendor so at least not only can players obtain shards from OPR even though it’s not much with how quick players can attain Faction Token cap, other than buying Gypsum Orbs, players can spend them on Umbral Shards as well. We all know the frustration on having a weekly mutation cap at 25, however, when you are capped or don’t feel like forking over 15-20k gold to pay someone for 6k shards, use your Faction Tokens to purchase them.

Suggestively, the Faction Vendor would provide shards based on the final Reputation tier.

5k Umbral Shards = 10k Faction Tokens
10k Umbral Shards = 20k Faction Tokens
15k Umbral Shards = 30k Faction Tokens
20k Umbral Shards = 40k Faction Tokens

The cool down period would be 72 hours (or 3 days time) so, every 3 days you can purchase Umbral Shards with Faction Tokens. This would also promote players to upgrade existing gear for current and future mutated expeditions in cycle and be prepared when they become available.

While there are other avenues obtaining Umbral Shards through daily Gypsum, Gypsum Casts, Elite chest and bosses, the Faction Vendor tokens would also promote more faction influenced PvE/PvP Missions and OPR for obtaining Faction Tokens.

As for myself, personally, I’m against buying shards from a seller only because there are other ways to obtain Umbral Shards while it may not be the quickest, it will diminish the kicks from the last boss when a shard buyer wants to purchase shards from the seller. Additionally, I believe enabling the Faction Vendor to sell Umbral Shards every 3 days would put a somewhat slow crawl with shard selling since players can obtain more shards with Faction Tokens by playing the game as intended and save their money from shard sellers.

In 10 months I never heard a single guy who quitted New World for not being able to do M10. But sure, there can always be exceptions.

You can level up to 615 or whatever without running any dungeons just through gypsum orbs in like two weeks. They have made the system way too easy.

This is the way.

That’s a great idea too, tbh. Hope they look at some of these.

Now i understand why some ppl asking for higher then 25 limit lol.

I think the best fix is to just remove the WARD perk all together and tweak the dungeons. If we would not need so damn many weapon/armor set we would not need that much shards and then the need to farm this would not be needed.

There’s actually quite a few good suggestions within, though.

That’s what I would like to see but they’ll never do that.

Mutations are just recycled content anyways and I wish they weren’t the primary source of umbral shards.

“people are quitting because they need ward gear because 1% of runners are selling shards” fucking lol
