Here is my proposition : Make the perk “Resilient” a “PvP only” perk ; and make it lower all damage taken, not just critical damage taken.
So it make 3x Blunderbuss not a thing in arena
3v3 arena will be a strategic fight, with coordination and smart moves. Not just a blast all your buttons and the better stuff wins. Because right now it’s the case, thx to blunderbuss
At first, I thought it was a bad idea, but stopping to analyze it calmly, it is actually quite good, but not for the reasons you gave.
With the current form resilient, the critical chance has basically become useless for many weapons, as their critical damage multiplier is lower than the resistance provided by the resilient.
With the change of the perk, affecting all types of damage, this problem with the crit no longer exists, as it would proportionally be greater than the normal damage. Also, it would counter ALL types of “OH combos” as the game’s overall damage would be lowered.
But of course, this has a downside, resilient will be an even more mandatory perk on set. But apart from that, we will only have benefits.
They are currently taking a hard pass on reducing mitigation, and healing. So as far as increasing any kind of mitigation goes i don’t think that’s on their table.
this is really the biggest negative point of the suggestion, however, to be quite honest, it is already a mandatory perk for any competitive player in pvp.
To some extent, i prefer to have refreshing on every piece, because of this I only have 3 stacks of resilient - which is enough to keep me alive while i fight and KITE(capitalized kite just to rile up the GA users ) - but make that all damage and I would have to have a full set, cause i will be kiting 90% of the time inbetween tickling people with my arrows lol
They need to make the % of the perk a lot less significant and buff general resistances on armor. This would fix the entire issue of resilient being mandatory on gear and people would still the same level of survivability as before.
