New world combat system is a good one. The inspiration is clearly taken from the souls games, which have the best melee combat system of all time. There’s a reason Souls-like label exists.
Today elden ring released PvP arenas. Free-for alls and teams with 2-6 players, and all I have to say is take notes AGS, please. Elden ring is also a heavily PVE focused game, more so than new world, but they know how to cater to their PvP players. If you care about your PvP community at all I suggest going back to the source material for further inspiration.
