Pvp during elite chest runs

actually failing to admit that their is in fact a line, even in pvp, is them admitting they are trolling and are trolls.

Well whatever the case, I am sure they are not really trolling you. Anyways, have a great day and try not to think about it to much.

I honestly hated this change. When I am harvesting/chest running, I am pretty focused on that task. If you flag for these activities you will be at a disadvantage due to not initiating the fight (and probably wearing harvest gear). You become content for some other player(s) (AG wanted more PvP for PvP players so they could have fun their way).

That being said, if you flag for PvP (for any reason) you are fair game for PvP no matter what activity you are doing.

I hope you are a mature person, and take the next example. Imagine your country is in war with another one, and you go to the enemy teritory, with visible combat outfit, to…pick flowers, or kill a boar. What you think the enemy would do, if you ask them nicely to leave you in peace? You will call for reinforcements, or take with you some other people, or call human rights organisation, to judge them for harassment?

This is one dedicated troll.

Oh i’m not being a troll. You are abusing a mechanic not meant for you. Turn your pvp off.

All i will say is pvp bonus creates toxic and bullying environment to thrive, and its not healthy for the game, sniping and dragging mobs into players who dont want to fight (thats not fun, and shouldnt be encouraged, should be something that punishes players doing it). Also there shouldnt be a bonus to begin with, at least not luck and harvest. Anyone who dont have the bonus feels left out, (and yes people will say just turn of pvp) but thats not an option when the benefit is too good

It isn’t that people don’t want to PVP. They just don’t want to solve a jump puzzle to kill some guy who snuck through a zone that is intended for groups, climbed a janky mountain, and finishes down players.

With the tent system, they can be back in an instant and sneak back onto their mountain way off in the distance to keep griefing.

Nobody is out here saying getting outclassed in myrk in a fight, or out zerged is the problem. Those fights are fun. The specific issue is the use of the musket and terrain, by players who are often playing solo or duo, in an area where they are not doing, and cannot do the content as intended by the devs. (see devs adding muskets and such to stop solo players sneaking around to open chests)

If you are flagged and i kill you i get tokens for my faction. If i have the PVP mission and i collect 5 tokens i turn them in and push influence. it is a game mechanic. If you dont want to die turn PVP off. AGS already responded to this and pretty much said the samething. Having the option to to unflag grants consent. so you reporting for being killed while PvP flagged is wasting peoples time and you should be punished for it.

They implemented the bonus to encourage 60’s to flag and pvp in open world since that was the intent of the game. So if you want the reward take the risk otherwise stop complaining. Go play farmville if you dont want to die. Griefing would be sitting at your camp and killing you as soon as you respawn. I doubt this is happening

I leave it up someone to make this a proper meme

All I will say is that I and many people disagree, the pvP bonus improved PvP action a lot.

Pvp in NW is super light, you lose close to nothing by getting killed. If even PvP on NW is aggravating for some, if they get frustrated and angry for getting killing while gathering or doing other stuff, they should just not flag and use the gather gear without worries.

People who flag have the choice between maximum bonus with the PVP flag + gathering gear, but high risk of getting rekt. Their choice.

At some point… they are going to put out PVE servers and its going to be an absolute snooze fest. The only PVP will be OPR and War, the rest would be flagless playing and mindless grinding.

They do not have to go play farmville, they can simply toggle the PVP flag to off and continue doing exactly what they are doing without the Risk of being Harassed (The Battle Strategy and as was mentioned, add tokens to their faction (although not in all zones)).

You do get rewards when you kill someone? Might not be the rewards you’re looking for but it does give a drop and faction point.

Open World PvP, you don’t get to chose the manner of the engagement. To some extend, that’s siege PvP, OPR PvP and duel.

Open PvP you can be ambushed, sniped, zerged or else. Groups or soldiers flagged must realize that and improve.

I know the thread became extensive, but there are people saying literary that here and on other posts.

Why should you be punished for PvP’ing?

They still die/repair more than PVE’rs and have to spend more time/azoth relocating and re-pathing if they die (whether they go back to the location they died or take the L and find a new area to farm/play).

When you flag, you take those risks. You have to watch the rooftops, hide in grass if a big mob of enemy players passes, or lose out on loot.
Prior to the PVP bonuses being added, my PVP friends turned off PVP when they reached level 60. Why flag? It’s too expensive to die all the time. The fun isn’t worth the reward. The risk wasn’t worth it when they could just do OPR instead. Open World PVP died and AGS implemented the bonuses. Now my friends flag up and we all get to have a blast without needing to ‘pay to play’ anymore.

I don’t see the problem, frankly.

pvping a person or group and bullying/harassing players are too very different things

@Deathtome Still wondering how long your “please don’t harass me” lasts. 5 minutes? 15 minutes? The rest of the play session?

Does it “reset” if we meet in a different zone?
