PvP flag luck still a thing?

Title, is it still a thing? The tooltip doesn’t specify the luck bonuses.

Edit: Apparently the tool tip in game is incorrect and gathering luck does still exist from flagging.

I’ve heard this three ways,

One is that yes, it’s still there.

Two is that they moved it to the fort bonus.

Three is that it’s there, and the fort bonus stacks.

I don’t know which one is true.

I’m going to say…

“Sure” (note airquotes)

The tooltip was never updated to state that flagging for PvP gives you a luck bonus way back in November last year, so it just says the same thing it has since Launch. There is no statement I have seen confirming the opposite, thus PvP luck from flagging still exists.

It does still exist.

They’ve never stated differently. I also notice a difference between flagging and not.

ahh yess, confuse indeed.

Back in NOVEMBER 18, 2021 - Into the Void was released adding many changes and new features to the game, one of them was

  • Added a +10% Luck bonus and a +30% Gathering Luck bonus to players flagged for PvP.

But, to this day, when you flag up for PvP the ingame prompt you with this:
image
so they have change it since PvP Reward Track was introduced but still they didn’t include that information there, funny hu? :slightly_smiling_face:

Fundamentally I don’t understand why AGS don’t update those things in game (seriously, how long does it take to change a piece of text in a game file ?) as today Oct 12 2022, this was added 328 days ago and still show the wrong information ingame.

so if someone just play the game and don’t check for patch notes or the forums, they just have the wrong information/answers.

It wasnt updated with brimstone atleast, is it still confirmed that pvp flagging gives luck? can a moderator step in :octopus:

AGS has the same bugs since BETA… I’m not surprised.

@Luxendra or any other mods, do you have an answer to this?

Thanks

it 100% is a thing. Create a new character, go harvest with the basic iron tools (no luck) for an hour. Turn on PVP and do the same. Compare all the fae iron, whisperwood and other low level rares in your inventory.

It is a thing.

OP. It is a thing. Don’t listen to the people who believed a single post an AGS customer service rep said in error as facts. Just go try it for yourself.

There was one single post an AGS customer service rep said once. It was never backed up nor followed up nor even proved true. It’s obviously wrong anyway.

That’s what caused the rumour. And that is what it takes to make people believe something.

As it is, all you need to do is try it with basic iron tools and no luck gear or trophies. Then flag up. The difference is starkly evident to me. On one hand you get no rare stuff at all (these rare items have a threshold of luck that is not exceeded with basic iron tools and no additional luck). The other you get rare stuff relatively frequently (+30% luck is enough to push you well over said threshhold).

Now, this isn’t testing the 10% loot luck I know. Just the harvesting luck. But it’s enough for me, given everything we know to be true (the patch notes and nothing official to the contrary) to at least feel confident that it’s “a thing”.

They have to be more transparent with some things like this…

Hope this helps!

An easy way to test this is to put 20.1% luck on and loot a bunch of elite chests flagged and unflagged. If you get void essence while flagged you broke the 30% luck needed to access void essence which is NOT “luck safe”, in other words, you will only receive void essence if you have over 30% luck.
If people ask me “am i wearing enough luck?” I usually reply, “If you’re getting void essence then you have enough, but more is always better for farming named items and trophy mats.”
