I don’t have any of those luck trophies or gear, and I get nothing except gems from nodes. PvP luck is working as intended. Can you please stop complaining before AGS makes a bad decision again. Jesus Christ.
Stupid is as stupid does, AGS done did it with the luck bonus and linked trading posts.
Would of been fine if they took the time to balance everything to go with the change, but no, just toss this stuff in because people whined for it. The market was already in dire need of balancing on release. Or guess I should say gathering and crafting needs balance.
It is close to being ok. Just a few more adjustments. Nothing is ruined lol
The reason these people are complaining is because they were the ones who controlled the economy with their ridiculous prices. With the current luck their cash cows are no longer cash cows because they can get their own materials now. They don’t give two shits about the actual health of the economy, rather the health of their gold coins. This new whining is nothing but self-interest. Bunch of greedy people.
Another thing is that now more people are able to get materials for better gear so competition has gone up. They don’t like competition, it threatens their ability to control territories indefinitely.
when you incentivize a pve task… guess what…
Close to being okay for who? Not me I prefer the unlinked trading posts.
Just a few more adjustments and the market will be in perfect balance huh? No more items listed at .01, no more bound items because they can’t fix duping? Sure they seem real close…
I never suggested it’s ruined, just a lot further from being " OK " then you think it is.
Yes obviously not to you. You know opinions?
I’m expressing MINE and you’re expressing YOURS.
I agree that low prices on rare gatherables is good. They were essentially impossible to utilize at the price point before this change.
I feel that since the crafting system requires dozens or hundreds of attempts while producing any item to get one worth keeping that there is no reason the materials costs should be extremely high. The high prices just made it essentially impossible for most of the player base to ever feasibly engage with the high end of crafting.
Investing into getting 200 armorsmith like I did was hard enough considering I gathered and collected everything for it personally.
The ignorant design of endgame and its ridiculous plateaus is a huge factor.
So I had a friend transfer to my server when transfers first opened up. We used to play together all the time, but since the new patch not even once because he is green and I am yellow, and neither of us want to play without PvP bonus. I would just switch factions, except it’s very lucrative to be on majority faction and farm unimpeded with pvp on. New changes effectively cut all populations by 2/3.
600 and 400 on Harmonia
Also, consider the facts that the high end chests are bugged and horticulture gear has disappeared. Naturally, more people will be farming leather right now.
I see you’ve come to some sense of balance comrade
. Let’s quickly do some comp-arables.
PVP buff is 30% to ALL gathering, it adds 3000 ROL. (devs blog)
One get’s 25% from one gathering type full 600gs gear set. But this buff is like running with ALL 4 set types worn on you. (harvesting, mining, logging, skinning)
How much do all 4 sets at 600gs cost on your server?
It adds 3000 to ROL.
That’s equivalent to 2 major gathering trophies. Except it’s to ALL gathering, so that means it’s equivalent to having 8 major gathering trophies (2 per type) on you while flagged. How much would one have to pay to get all 8 major gathering trophies, on your server? That’s INSANE.
You also have a limit to amount of total trophies even if you own 3 houses (which is max). You can’t even stack damage or loot + all major gathering trophies together.
They were (once again) naive with that change.
They thought it would increase open world PvP big time. It only increased it marginally, if at all.
Did it make some PvE players switch PvP on ? Yes. But those people didn’t want to PvP before and they still don’t want it now. So they are just using the bonuses.
Yup. Lack of foresight. Let’s continue observing what happens.
I love the people acting like luck is the problem when prices for ALL things are dropping as a direct result of linked Trading Posts. Luck doesn’t affect fiber yield, but fiber prices have plummeted. Luck doesn’t affect iron ore yield but iron ore prices have plummeted.
EVERYTHING IS CHEAPER, NOT JUST LUCK-BASED ITEMS.
That’s because, as a surprise to absolutely no one, linked Trading Posts made the entire game’s supply accessible from any town on the map.
You clowns should be barred from posting. Community members like you are a threat to quality game design on the off-chance AGS tries to appease you.
Linking of trade posts is definitely a contributing factor too, especially for regular mats.
incentivizing pve for pvp flagging will just make PVE players flag up to do pve things and ignore PVP.
The forums don’t really represent in game much. The vast majority of PVE players will flag and accept death from a random (but rare) person that attacks them because the benefit now outweighs the inconvenience.
This just makes PVP players even more frustrated at the end because instead of getting a PVP experience they just get people that /wave as they get killed. I wager that more PVE players will try and avoid the nerf.
just look at wow and war mode. Its extremally rare you see PVP in war mode as the vast majority are flagged for its PVE benefits.
You can thank the crying PVP Guys. Wont Stop them to demand even More soon.
i spent a couple days farming nekkid and flagged with all my gear in storage…
even on a busy server i was only ganked once, sad as more often would have saved me travel time.
