PvP hatchet, Too overpowered?

As a lvl 60 who does pvp on a regular basis i notice the hatchet build has become a real meta that is quite broken.

1 good heavy healer and 1 good hatchet player and u are doomed. Due to the berserk ability of the hatchet he is unkillable, after berserk the healer insta heals him up and by the time u get the hatchet down his berserk is rdy to reload again (or he runs away with the healer)

Due to it being a heavy healer u cannot take him down easy either.

It is more a problem in 3 v 3 arena than in Outpost rush.

though it should be an easy fix. reduce the incoming healing or completely remove the ability to get it for a certain amount of time after berserk ability has been activated.

this makes the hatchet a powerfull contender and still offering that extra dmg output because u cannot die, but also removes the ability of being nearly unkillable in combination with a tanky healer.

Not really a hatchet issue, but more of a healer thing. The best way to counter hatchet is using Void Gauntlet with it’s nullifying oblivion. All hatchets buff removed on cast.

So you recently died to a hatchet so now it needs to be nerfed. Got it.

Heavy healer? Hatchet is nowhere near overpowered, try to play hatchet and u can understand it. your most hits will go to air due to u cant land the hit, people are crying about defy death u can simple oblivion it. There is a reason hatchet is not common in wars, only some assasins playing it.
Berserk is an issue? use oblivion and remove it. Please stop suggesting stuff that gonna kill a bad weapons, like a lot of people who does this kind of suggestion has no clue at the game at all and I hope devs are not llistening, imagine trying to nerf a weapon which is in a bad shape already

Orb perk better xd its range = save, slows down + do damage xd zerker lasts 2 sec. Oblivion is good for wars, in arenas or OPR with this meta hard to find anyone who want stay in this field.

Easier to dodge through/away from orbs, oblivion completely removes it.

Not everyone pla with VG, hatchet is not an issue in it self combo spear/hatchet or with SnS is really annoying, it wil stagger/stun anyone till death… SnS in this combo is really hard to counter, stun is very long even with 2x freedom he has enough time to dodge to back and root u with hatchet.

1 good heavy healer and 1 good hatchet player and u are doomed

Lol wut…?

I used to play with orb, cuz in most cases I play arenas where everyone are running so oblivion is weak/average

This is why I see this community as toxic ga****e mostly.

You can counter the hatchet by running around in a circle. I am dead serious, the lunge and tracking on it isn’t at all generous, even with keen speed or berserk.

Heavy healers have no mobility and are easily caught in bad positions making it even more easier to lock them down and burst them before they even run out of stam to get away.

Next.

Annnnnnnnnnnd this is where you lost me. Heavy healing has been nerfed so hard that saying “good” and “heavy healer” in the same sentence is kind of funny unless you say “Being a heavy healer is not good.”

This is terrible feedback from someone who probably doesn’t really PVP very often.

Healers are Light armor in most cases. A very small group of people in full three-liners might be able to do Medium in OPR and 3v3, but never wars. That said, it is true that Healers are overtuned in PVP because they are balanced for PVE, which has higher damage.

Hatchet is the most limited melee weapon in the game right now. Its got poor hit detection, with a small hitbox and poor tracking that, despite improvements. If there is any desync at all, the weapon becomes almost entirely useless. It has no AOE damage, limited burst, extremely limited CC, and did I mention it was a melee weapon with poor hit detection?

People who can play Hatchet have to master fundamentals, requires its players to do dumb things like aim at people’s kneecaps while turning the camera to get good hits in, especially backstabs.

Berserk and Defy Death are strong, but they are nowhere close to the best skills in the game.
