Just a variety of suggestion and thoughts on PvP idea’s
PvP and Tents
its annoying having people respawn 10 seconds away from you when you kill them constantly especialy when compete for a farm spot to fix this i have 2 options
- option 1: pvp kills prevent respawning at tent
- option 2: I think this one is better, have 2 types of tents one classed as PvP tent (When flagged players build tent) and the other PvE tent (unchanged) pvp players cant bind to a pve tent. PvE tents can be burned when opposing flagged faction member hold E for 5 seconds on the tent this will destroy it and notify the player who placed the tent (This will add choice keep the element of surprise or nulify there spawn spot first. this can cause fight between the 2 faction tents trying to push one to get rid of it and also allows players to hide tents where option 1 doesnt provide.
PvP Resource Mines/Camps
- This will be a POI on the map however when you get to close to this POI you get a message and will be flagged for PvP if you stay in the circle radius for longer than 10 seconds.
- While inside the POI all players are flagged to you outside of group this is to reduce zerging (You can make it faction only but i think it be better this way devs choice if they do implement it) this will make it idea 1 group content pvp content however you can zerg it but there be atleast friendly fire to balance thing a little better.
- These POI will have a specific teir 5 resource with increased node and spawns rates (should support 5 people reasonably well) there be a different one for each T5 resource type so Iron Wood, ori and wire fiber could include one for animals too
- Leave the area wont unflag you unless u dont take dmg for 30 seconds this means you can be chased when leaving the area still
- Optional you could apply a luck bonus in this area for added incentive if so desired
PvP Rewards
- PvP rewards are kinda lack luster like your choices for faction tokens are pretty much a BoP PvE dungeon item (The chisel) Material converters and Chunk or condensed iron other than that not realy anything else available.
- Some idea to help with some pvp reward incentive from vendor is the new crafting shard items (this is the new item that allows ytou to pick stats on items when you craft) its currently available for crafters via boxes and PvE players via lazarus and gensis and makes sense to allow acess to pvp players too via token
- Unique item skins could be good aswell as options (Could just recolour some shop skins to ffaction colours if you realy wanted to or make some more or resuse assets you can already get on armor as options too these items could rotate every couple months too like the store does if so desired
- Also consider adding new pvp tokens that are only aquired by pvp kills and pvp missions for the harder to acquire items
Possible resource drop
- first off rever drop rates back to how they were pre 1.1 i know you ninja nerfed them by atleast 30% to compensate people double dipping the luck stat via harvesting in pvp flaged + harvesting gear, this will help pve players who dont wish to flag
- now to add risk to those players who do wanna double dip there 2 options here
- Option 1, half there resources drop upon death to be lootable
- Option 2, Drop all items gained in last 5 or 10 minutes devs choice this means it can also apply outside of resource gathering
this will unerf the PvE players experience if they dont wish to flag aswell as add risk to player who decide to abuse the extra luck gain along side there harvesting gear, aswell as bring the game back a little towards how it was originally intended to be without harming pve players.
The idea is to add more content for pvp and rewards that wont effect people not interested in flagging.
