Hear me when I say this:

I love New World. Been here since launch. However, AGS is running out of time to get this game on the correct path. I’ve supported and will continue to support (but definitely not as much as before…they killed that), however I think even the fans that stuck with them through the trials and tribulations of early release are close to saying F it all together…me included. There are wayyyy too many games out, and coming out for me to have my time wasted and loyalty basically shat on. Get it together…I want to stay, but hell once I’m gone…I’m gone.

Yeah i agree with you. We are over 1 year after release and they want to spend the majority of 2023 creating framework systems like cross server, and adding features like transmog and gear loadout.

Instead of delivering us high quality content we are still in beta waiting for game systems…

Meanwhile other actually fleshed out and polished games are releasing in a release worthy state. Why should we stick around in NW waiting for basic stuff we expected to see at launch.

BB azoth shrap by 8% not all BB dmg

GS Haste should stay 5s but require a hit imho. Similar to hatchets Adrenaline rush change

GS full charge heavy tracking for attacks 2 &3 need to lose some of it’s cleave homing translation, like .5-1 meter or reduce it’s frames because the damage frames are too long making some weird hits actually connect which are pure misses

Skewer tracking needs buff and fix

Hatchet raging torrent tracking needs fix

Void blade teather needs buff

Rapier flurry tracking needs buff

I could go on but…

You guys should play some other games. You are taking it way too seriously. Go back and forth between 2 or 3 games and you will be less angry overall. New World imo is like a child : he is just born, he is boring and pisses you off, but it will grow eventualy and get better if you stick around

I think you fail to realize that this had a LOT of eyes on it, not just from players but from other studio’s. This was one of the MMO’s which was supposed to (Not my words) spark the new MMO’s interest and hopefully make studio’s want to make them. However this bag of crap, is doing the opposite. It’s NEW yes it’s new with 100 other MMO’s to learn from, which they didn’t. This isn’t an indie game studio, and it’s everyones attitude and giving them a pass that allows them to get away with 1/2 built games and poor quality control. Less and less people are going to trust ASG now, because of this game. And if the leadership doesn’t understand it, that’s on them. Also if people start playing other games, they really WILL just stop playing this one. And I’m said this doesn’t have a sub, because then it would be much easier for the bean counters to pull the plug and do what they need to vs this model where the numbers can easily be boosted by not banning bots and cheaters. So yes some of this take it seriously, not because it cost 40 bucks, but because we’re tired of garbage games and studio’s being allowed to fleece people and get away with it. It’s your future of gaming as well, and this is what you want?

I think the thing w/ Lifestaff is that we just need more weapons with support/heal abilities that are actually viable, and would be nice if more current weapons had at least 1 or 2 abilities on them that were more support oriented. Whether that be something that could heal an ally(s) while not scaling on Foc, or some kind of “lifegrip”, raising an earth wall for cover/LoS, etc etc

That way you spread what lifestaff is doing/bringing to the table across other specs

Yes it was a farm but again I just don’t think this is good for the game in any sense. That musket doesn’t need to worry about losing stacks, he is just 2-3 tapping people and most people he was putting in the dirt can’t shoot back, the dex on the other side most likely aren’t as skilled and when the good musket starts to snowball and now has 15 stacks for 90% of the war he will shit on these less skilled players for a full 30 minutes, I don’t think a player that is already being farmed needs to to be harder by the means of ME. The only person that is getting enjoyment is the 1 ME musket going crazy, and what about the experience for the 50 players on the other side? You think they want to keep experiencing that shit and still want to keep playing the game after. And yes they still would win with or without ME but that musket doesn’t get 106 kills without ME, no fucking shot. If you don’t see that’s bad for the game idk what to say.

The OPR map change would be great but adding rocks won’t fix a musket 3 tapping a 200 con medium player with 4 resil and 3 shirking. The perk is overtuned and is extremely bad for the game in the hands of a good player that can shoot a hit scan weapon :skull:

Again 106 kills in a war shouldn’t be able to be achieved nor a 73 kill OPR game. Making 1 players experience better over 20-50 players isn’t good…

This is funny because if you’ve ever played musket in arena you’d know that having a healer on your team with a musket is basically playing down a man because musket can’t run con if it wants to do damage, but that also means it can’t wait 2-3 seconds for a heal in lots of situations or it just dies.

Removing musket damage just removes it from the game.

I’ve played a lot of arenas. I’ve only used the musket until recently, so all of those wins were solo with the musket. You would reduce the range and damage of the musket, but buff the health and abilities to help with melee combat.

I was goofing around today with the musket and medium armor. 250 dex/150 intel/100 con. I had several 30 kill games. Not the greatest, but totally fine. I don’t know how much a damage nerf that is compared to my normal 300 dex/210 con, but it was fine. Additionally, I could 1v1 melee with my rapier in medium armor. It was fun.

The musket would totally be fine with decreased range, damage, and mobility, if it had more health. Muskets/Bows shouldn’t be doing nearly 100% of their damage with those weapons. They should be using their melee weapon for damage.

I wanted to link my arena achievement but coding is apparently very hard…

So yeah I cant contribute that much to the discussion here other than saying musket being hitscan will forever be bullshit. Wether it is weak or strong doesnt make a difference since as long as it is hitscan will result in it never being balanced.

nah PvP is handsdown in its worst state since launch, desync, rubberbanding, weaponbalance etc. its horrendous atm
