Pvp luck bonus and luck on gear should be removed

Are you sure these bonuses work? it seems they stopped working when the Azoth Salt appeared

The luck bonus created the some of the greatest events in the history of the game. Flagged chest run wars. Now days, everyone is lazy as hell and just go for random zergs because the bonus is not large enough. Open world is now just some solo players and grouped shitters trying to zerg solo players for easy kills. Open world pvp is pretty much full dead because its just fully stacked mortal empowered losers, dex or melee with healer.

Rip mines wars. Rip sirens wars. Rip myrk wars. No more 50 vs 50 vs 50. The game was worse, but the fun was there.

“the bonus is not large enough” - there is no bonus, where did you get what it is? From the old manual, which was written before Azoth Salt update?

As far as I know, there has been no update to luck bonuses. Luck bonuses are pretty much not noticeable unless you do 100s chests. Luck has been tested and works like the devs said, so unless there’s some info I missed, its still there.

Of course!

You can risk and get higher luck with a luck set. Or play safe and use the PvP set. Or even safer: bring a friend with you to fight in case enemies are on your way.

Safer strategies always should mean smaller profits

As a reaction to tons of PvP players complaining about the luck of Open World PvP. This is very natural way to increase number of Open World fights between players. This change was made somewhere during previous winter solely to please PvP players and now we got those complainers, lol

Here is the original thread bud and this has nothing to do with the lack of pvp content, it was to help open world pvp but all the pvpers left now.so im confused why you tagged that post

Well

it was to help open world pvp

Open World pvp is PvP content, that’s why I tagged
Tons of PvE players been complaining about that change, but AGS anyway pushed that change to increase amount of PvP content

Unfortunately, there was a vocal minority of players who wanted this game to be their opportunity to grief other players. This was around long before New World was even an MMO in the alpha days.

When New World finally launched they, for some time, did rush levels then sit in low level areas attacking lower level players, camping quests, camping resources etc. Players stopped flagging for these non-pvp activities because the same group also complained and got scaling removed in the open world.

To appease this VOCAL group of griefers who want people to flag for non-pvp content, preferable when under leveled or geared, so that they can get their rocks off AGS added luck to pvp flagging.

Yes, it makes no sense from a game perspective.

No, people don’t like doing it. Have you ever heard anyone say YAY I am going to go back and flag for my iron run.

Yes, it was intentionally put there to make your game more frustrating because you have to choose to be grief bait or have a lower luck bonus.

The hilarious part of all this is that players collectively decided that they would just farm flagged and if they got attacked just stand still and take the free fast travel back to town to unload and make another run. Hell AGS even made this better because you don’t take any gear damage. Eventually people moved on from farming those mining because when it was helping players instead of griefing them it wasn’t fun for them anymore.

Yes, it shouldn’t be in the game.
Yes, it was a bad choice.
Yes, it appeased the griefers for a week or so.
No, it didn’t keep any players playing.
No, it didn’t draw any new players.
No, it didn’t produce a long term open world pvp system.

If you go back in the forums you can see the whole time period when people decided it was just cheap travel (at a time when travel costed hundreds of azoth mind you).

The history of less than mediocre choices from AGS is long.

That’s a lot of projection about everyone flagged being griefers. I always flag up and don’t start fights. I am actually geared, so if some fucbois try to start something, I usually come out on top.

The actual thing encouraging griefers is the mortal empower perk. I used to run with full purp flagged chest run zergs while being the only flagged yellow a year ago.

Where did I say everyone flagged was a griefer?

Those who want to FORCE others to flag to do content that has NOTHING TO DO WITH PvP are, by definition, wanting to grief them.

If someone wanted to fight PvP they would be flagged already, If they don’t want to PvP and you want to kill them, you are by definition wanting to grief them.

If you are not one of the people who wants to force people to flag when they don’t want to PvP then you are not in this category. This is a fairly simple concept.

A luck bonus is not forcing people to flag. There is no content locked behind open world pvp outside those aids forts.

This whole paragraph is pretty much you saying that everyone that wanted more flagged bonuses were griefers.

Back in like oct-nov of last year, I was flagged on the first “hardcore” pvp server, Valhalla, and 90% of people flagged were not fighting in SM. All of them wanted more bonuses for flagging as they were risking more than non flagged players.

If you wanted to grief people back then, it was npc trolling in mines and myrk to steal resource nodes, and they were all unflagged so the other player could do nothing.

The flagged bonus is less than a luck set.

Risk. Reward. That’s all it is.

U need the pvp luck bonus to be optimal for luck build otherwise trophies already dont matter.
And the only open world pvp in this game is people turning on their flag for solo chest running.
Its bad design to put luck bonus on pvp flag but then again there wont be any reason to flag pvp…. And pvp is already dead

I need to go 9x pieces with luck and pearls + pvp flag to have an optimal luck build.
Luck is just bad design, it shouldnt exist at all
No one is flagging pvp other than for luck but then again u need to wear luck set anyway… the pvp flag is just a bonus there is no point in adding it to pvp flag… luck doesnt exist in pvp activities and pvp is already useless in pve activities

It shows ingame that you get +10% EXP while PvP flagged.

You dont get Loot Luck or Gathering Luck while in PvP, its only a rumor and made up to get people to PvP flag while gathering so players can kill you.

Open world need max luck to be effecient so you are forced to flag as pvp as well when wearing luck set. 10% bonus is too much wasted potential especially if u pay 80k for 1.5% trophy

30 gathering luck, 10 global luck

that simple.

Where does it say that ingame? Any proof?

The text was removed and PvP flagged information only say +10% EXP and Azoth Salt.

There was probably Luck while PvP flagged a year ago but was removed in a patch.
