Youd be surprised how long it takes to make a beautiful dungeon with 3 bosses… They only focus on Pve right now and the numbers are showing. Im telling you right now the Pvp player base is dying.
As someone who used to ONLY PvP in New World, I honestly just started spamming dungeons.
This week I did 25 Laz runs.
21 Gold
2 Silver
2 left the group
Am I dead inside? Yes.
Results? I made 200k gold on the AH, and I’m selling like 350K more. Will anything sell? I don’t know.
I also made 140k+ shards.
Why am I doing this? Because I can farm dungeons for 3 weeks (M10’s) and then buy BiS gear. It took me 1200 hours of gameplay to realize this. This is a PvE game, and that’s where you get rewarded. I spammed a trillion of OPR’s and arenas, mostly, meaningless apart from fun. It ain’t fun anymore though, how long will I be spamming the same map, over and over again?
ranked will suck because they won’t disable premade lobbies.
Ranked would be fine if we had cross server though. Heck on US-E it could support: Ranked (Team), Ranked (solo), Unranked (Team), Unranked (solo). There are currently 10 US-E Fresh Start Servers, and 9 US-E Legacy Servers. That player base is plenty large to support 4 game modes in OPR, plus multiple lobbies of 3v3. That along with “light” matchmaking would improve the game experience monumentally.
I believe the solution to NW’s pvp future relies on cross server happening, none of the above makes sense without cross server. Cross Server also benefits from scale, enabling low risk to roll out new and seasonal game modes, guaranteeing population pools to play those modes. Unfortunately this solution is likely the hardest technically for AGS to perform.
Hello! In fact, I can imagine creating dungeons is not an easy job. But writing a few lines of code for pvp mode is objectively a much easier task. Do you agree?
We’ll have to go to the rating fights in a pre-group. There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s more like a good thing.
there’s a reason lost ark’s ranked 3v3 had only solo queue. premade groups will always win in arena.
Well, that’s normal, that’s how it should be. You can additionally make arenas like now, without rating, for fun and training. Let there be both rating arenas and regular arenas. I mean, there’s no problem with this kind of content, devs don’t even have to come up with anything new. All it takes is the will to implement…
There’s no problem queuing premade vs premade if players decide to wait the wait time that’s on them, but there should definitely be an option. As for the lost ark not having premade is a huge disadvantage… your essential doing a coin toss to see if you will win the game, There are so many threads about this being such a bad system as so many people want to play with a team and improve. Who would want to que ranked and hope you get decent teammates to win? Only so much one player can do to impact the game. With recent news lost ark is actually planning on bringing in a premade ranked que.(this is coming from someone who ques solo.)
They don’t write any lines for Pvp because the developers are silly(most polite way I can put it.) as it stands the game is going in the wrong directions lol they just focused on pumping pve content when there pvp player dies of boredom queuing for opr and arena with the same maps and nothing to do in the openworld.
this is such a bad argument and it’s no different from the “elo hell” thing. every single competitive game on the market has solo queue and it’s not a problem. your teammates don’t even matter in the long run, only your performance does.
I was very unlucky in lost ark’s 3v3 but I played a lot of games and managed to reach 2800 even though I was stuck around 1900 for a while because of bad teammates. it’s not a coin toss at all.
What the problem with having a que for premade and a que for solo? So that solo can’t que into premade? Just like every other competitive game on the market
buzzer sound WRONG, the game is marketed as PvX and has been since launch. This game hasn’t been PVP directed since Alpha.
Hover over your PVP indicator it tells you that you gain 10% luck. The issue though is folks don’t understand what luck is or how it works and expect to get rich running around pvp flagged.
Imo you shouldn’t get any bonuses for being PVP flagged. If you want to PVP and enjoy it great do it but the rest of us shouldn’t have to suffer your minority demographic moaning and complaining constantly. The fact no one runs around pvp flagged and we already get a bonus is enough to prove the point no one really enjoys PVP unless there’s an OP reward they get for doing it.
That argument is so bad “do it because you like it” Imagine going into a dungeon and getting zero loot or umbral shards and some pvp guy tells you to do it because you like it!! Lol come with a better argument my friend. Just because something is fun doesn’t mean it shouldn’t give incentive. So as you said the game is being advertised as PvX but as it stands it’s 90% Pve on the day to day. So us “Minority” is the reason the game is dying every day and can’t retain players.
So let me get this straight. In the open world you gather resources and get all the loot anyone else gets. You earn Salt just for being flagged and running around earning experience gathering. You get your own reward track that you earn rewards for just for playing PVP in general. You get 10% luck and gathering luck without harvesting gear. Your gear basically permeates all PVE sources making it difficult to actually get good PVE gear. You get both loot and umbral shards from chests which you got nerfed because players cheated and win traded when they first implemented OPR. This is the primary reason that PVP can’t be rewarded much more than it already is. It’s easily abused.
PVP mode one, like was mentioned 30% gathering luck is a lot when you don´t have gathering set.
Azoth Salt for PVP tracking reward, PVP tracking when you kill someone…
If no one is flagged, you still can farm free nodes with luck and have better loot and itens.
Your both missing the point sadly… We want more Pvp content and a reason to stay flagged, as it stands Pvp track is an absolute joke with the rewards it offers as is the 10% luck. I have around 200k azoth salt and pvp track 100 with almost nothing to spend it on
Adding more rewards isn’t content. Your explicitly calling for more rewards for being flagged. They already provided a benefit when they added luck to flagging. That didn’t change much at all. It’s a considerable difference over what we can get without it. The reality is those of us who loathe PVP aren’t going to flag for those rewards. Which means increasing rewards will just make it even more unequitable and you’ll still be here pissing and moaning that you need more content and people don’t flag.
A very small portion of the playerbase enjoys open world PVP. VERY SMALL. Polls have proven this time and time again.
The only way you’ll get more content is more PVP mods and if PVPers continue to not show up and support the new modes as they add them (Arena’s I’m looking at you) then you can expect there to be fewer and fewer PVP modes added over time.

Yeah - that part has always been like that but you definitely get the 30% harvesting luck. You get a considerably larger number of the rare materials when you gather with the PVP flag on.
