Frist of all, don’t take this threat as a cry, just as it is, a suggestion from a PVE player that also enjoys PVP time to time.
I’d think that the increased luck on PVP won’t get anyone to flag up appart of the usuals, instead, I’d suggest that instead of a increased luck and rewards, things change a little, to be actively willing to do PVP, even with the aid of some quests, some examples:
- Create a small RNG box dropped from a dead player
- This box would contain stuff like, potions, good gear, a good amount of gold (50 gold per kill?) , craft materials, etc, the loot from dead players would increase.
- Faction PVP quests
- This one is simple, factions want to destabilize the areas to declare war, let’s say each region have a PVP quest to kill 5 enemies of the rulling or oponent faction, doing so would give a hefty amount of influence , gold and faction currency. This quest could work nice for defenders, as not only they would need to do the usual quests, but with tracking down enough enemies they can reduce influence as well.
- Faction medallion
- Each time you kill a enemy player, you get a faction medallion, wich I suggest to use it as a currency for some “premium” items like, a strong potion, increased luck on gathering, PVP, fishing, etc.
Also those medallions could work to buy the components for a PVP armor, wich I think that letting customize the stats would be a nice start. You would craft a white PVP armor, nothing fancy but enough to get started, but if you want unlock the potential, you would need the components from the faction medallion and those medallions as well. I know this sounds grind, and it is, but it would feel rewarding to got your own PVP gear crafted and hard earened.
OFC, medallions and boxes wouldn’t appear if players are 10 levels bellow (if the PVP scaling goes to disappear).
