- Desync occurs when homing through Ice Shower ability
- Ice Spikes can hit players twice
are on the known issue list i doubt its gonna be the buff you are expecting.
maybe a buff to the players not using IG lol.

Alright right in your number 1 for advice you give verifiably wrong advice lol freedom quite literally doesnât do a single fucking thing in this game.
2-4 no real problems with just common sense things that not enough people know.

My guy balancing based on an absolute cluster fuck makes no sense as if it were ga and wh would have been nerf as that is what goes on point not to mention that war was designed to be a one-sided fight.
OP acting condescending when they keep suggesting freedom - a verifiably broken perk.
Also voidbent is a very good starter PvP set for 90% of the playerbase considering how essential resilient is. You really just want to swap out 1-3 pieces for viable weapon perks depending on your weapons.
IG CC is overtuned considering how easily it combos into ice spike - a one shot on most light/med players.
VG is very broken especially with PTR fixing another cdr passive. Itâs possible for one player to have THREE simultaneous oblivions and basically perma scream with this change.
GA auto nerfs make it impossible to hit a player on high pop servers unless they are chain CCâd or afk given the desync. Itâs easier to hit hammer autos.
Rapier is too good for disengage, riposte should not be a cone AOE.
600gs gear sounds like crap gear for me.
Because for now itâs very hard to create a correct build with correct perks and stats and 600gs. Very hard.
People who post stuff like this know there is gonna be a recorrection coming and try to pass the blame on others by saying in essence âget goodâ.
GA got nerfed and the desync issues with light/heavy attacks make it a pretty rough weapon to use atm even if IG/VG wasnât overtuned.
IG/VG is next on the chopping block just like GA was and bow jump just got hit on PTR.
Iâd be surprised if no changes actually happen to IG/VG on this coming patch.
Freedom is NOT broken. It still works. This has been tested over and over. The problem is people think because they have freedom on their armor that they are immune. Not how it works! Dont fight in the mages weapon.
I definitely donât like to delve to deep into these but I think the OP made a pretty solid post that could cover probably 80% of the whining on this forum. I am and have always been a Mage player. FS/IG and VG. @Treatment - I still think they hit the FS too hard way back when even tho its not as terrible as people make it out to be and definitely can shine still.
TO the Thread - I think there are just too many variable to look into when determining what is OP etc etc. For example when there are a lot of IG users on a team and not too many on another the effects can be HEAVILY felt and can feel oppressive. Same for healing etc etc.
I however believe that melee is still the strongest comp in this game for a team to bring. A truly solid front line of damage and CC is near unbeatable no matter what you bring to the table. Back it up with some IG users and its even more deadly. Stagger is without question one of the most deadly things to deal with in the game. Hatchets/spears/GA/GH/SnS can absolutely beat you down so when you die (and I know everyone here has heard it) you hear that WHACKWHACKWHACKWHACKWHACK sound then your dead.
So for those melee crying, yes it can be difficult when you are the only or one of a few melee who has to push a deadly team. But if you are on a full melee push team with basic ranged utility backup Iâm sorry i donât think you have an equal. GA/Hatchet/Hammer and Spear are just absurd good right now when comboâd properly.
Overall I think things are in a relatively decent place. Personally I think there needs to be more counters to the melee ball up and melt combo. There is little out there that can stop a melee ball from running over a whole team if properly using abilities and CCs.
That was personally where I hoped the FS would step in. Sadly it doesnât quite do it because of animation timers and Metoer Shower being absolutely useless lol.

I have faughten people with it and they have escaped my shockwave dodge heavy combo as well as on the ptr where I will get out the kick stun almost instantly.
Couldnât agree more. As a medium mage that solely duels almost all day every day I hear ALOT of âmages OP, I cant catch youâ etc when they are full heavy and in fact, did catch me once or twice, just didnât have enough damage because of full heavy or light users âI got caught once and diedâ - yes because youâre light with the glass canon build of not being caught. People donât understand that not every armor weight with every class should be able to beat anything else in a duel. GA/WH want to have a better chance in duels? Go medium. Mages in light keep getting caught and dying, go medium. There is a place for light and heavy in this game but donât expect to be able to beat everything else in a duel. Know your class and its purpose.
Iâm sorry but if you are getting beaten by ice spike and you arent in light gear, thereâs a very sad and real awakening about your PvP dueling skill levelâŚ
