We were told reports get looked at within 2-3 hours, when this guy (Jeeeen3, Castle of Steel) has been farming motes in the same place for over 8. That’s a lot of gold.
Question. Is there any kind of deep dive into a found bot? So if/when this guy is banned do you do any kind of tracking as to where that gold went? etc. Just banning one account isn’t going to do anything.
As an aside I am shocked you haven’t got something automated for this. I’ve seen clever bots, this isn’t one. It follows exactly the same short route over and over in a classic bot farming spot.
I work on a team (less than 10 developers) that developed and runs a system that take real-time, real-world trace several orders of magnitute more data that all your players are generating (even at launch numbers). We archive it for years and hundreds of clients query it in real-time to process it further.
Given you must get reduced rates on Azure^H^H^H^H, (oops I mean AWS we swapped to Azure) making a system to detect these kind of bots is trivial, no where near as complex as writing New World.
