Currently when you use the slider to upgrade an item it does show the change in stats e.g. a +24 STR shows +31 in the preview of 625. However it doesn’t show if the item becomes legendary and what it’s perk (if any) will be.
This would help stop all the questions in global chat about “Does this get a 3rd perk?” and “What perk does this get”. It would also save people going to nwdb.info (Disclaimer: other sites are available) to check what perk it gets.
Also note that the answer to those questsions isn’t as simple as “if it’s named it turns legendary” since there are the exception of shields, the tempestuous gear and I believe some of the PvP Track gear causes confusion for some because it doesn’t get a perk.
So showing the preview of the actual item you will get would be very useful.
Yes. That’s exactly what I said in the post. The point is 1) Not everyone does that. They ask in chat 2) If you are someone that uses it you still need to switch out of game to check.
It’s a Quality of Life thing. Just now the preview shows the new stats of the upgrade, but doesn’t show any perk upgrade. Just change it show the actual item you get.
Same could be said about anything really. It’s nice to have in-game clarification rather than websites all the time. After you’ve done it for 10s of thousands of hours it slowly becomes a headache. Had to do everything path of exile like this for an example, ended up quiting because of it.

Still wouldn’t hurt though to have it. It’s one of those things. Very low on the priority list, but what do they even prioritize, game is still in beta.
