Quality of Life Ideas - Role Queues for War/Invasions & More

I’ve played many MMOs and right now NW is my newest obsession, but there is still a lot of room for this game to improve. I have watched a few too many people jump ship because of bugs and a real lack of QoL in game. We already spend hours running back and forth from the settlements and adventuring, we could really use some comforts in between all the battles and harvesting. I may also include some other suggestions in this list as not everything is QoL related specifically.

  1. Most MMOs have a shared storage for Companies/guilds - some require you to have a certain number of members or complete quests to have access to getting one, but this would be very beneficial to companies as a whole. It would have to be semi limited as storage sheds are, but there are a lot of directions you could take this to best fit New World. For example: Guild houses in towns, guild ships in a port city, Guild Storage option in faction owned towns, etc.

  2. Invasions. To my understanding, closing corruptions is supposed to keep invasions at bay and they should be occurring ever 4 days generally. Right now, my home world has yet to successfully defend against an invasion and we have them daily. Keeping towns upgraded is very costly to the companies owning the lands and by the time we have something back to tier 5, another invasion wipes it back to tier 4. For servers with Medium and low populations, the invasions and corruptions are just too frequent to try and enjoy the rest of the game and is causing a lot of burn out.

  3. Map Notes. Sticking with the times of New World, you would think maps would have a notes section, or maybe a small notepad-like area to keep up with various thoughts, like where certain items are stored, or your favorite farming areas.

While on the topic of maps, the map is still a big bug problem. Crafting stations are generally listed correctly, but refining stations are normally one level higher than what is listed. I have just come to distrust the map and a lot of times waste time and Azoth trying to find what I need to craft/refine at.

  4. Salvage All option. To put this simply, when working to level up crafting, we end up making HUNDREDS of the same item, with no desire to keep any of them, and spend a lot of time slowly salvaging them one by one. It would be a good idea to add this with an additional check box to alert the player “you are about to salvage # of [crafted item], are you sure you want to salvage them all?” or something similar to safe guard against salvaging those you may want to keep.

  5. War and Invasion role queuing. Right now, to make parties in any instance, you have to message people one by one and figure out what role they are playing and move them around accordingly -this takes a LOT of time to do with a fast moving chat system! By adding in even just a simple  :crossed_swords: :shield: selection requirement when signing up for invasions and wars would make things a lot easier to build the desired teams way more efficient and less stressful on the everyone involved in the war/invasion.

  6. Trading Post Buy Orders. It would be nice to see a section in the trading posts to view all Buy Orders to allow players to figure out what is selling well a lot easier. It is great to se we are getting the trading post linked, and this would just be another step to make trading a smoother process for all.

I was to end this by saying I do really enjoy the game and want to see it succeed. There are still bugs and glitches to be worked out, but things are moving in the right direction. I have seen far less coin selling bots, which is great cause most MMOs still have a heavy bot presence I have blocked a lot of bots so I may not be seeing it but I hope they are just gone.
Thanks for your time <(’.’<)
