The problem now is the quest requirements were changed. Now the quest requires you to collect only 9 Protective Resin (was 16) while the recipe for Resin-Hardened Leather still requires 16 Protective Resin to craft. So when you pick up your 9th Protective Resin - they stop dropping.
Simple fix - change the recipe requirement down to 9 Protective Resin to match the new quest requirement of 9.
Same issue here.
Resetting the quest removes what ever protective resin is in your inventory. You are then asked to collect more protective resin from Eternal Pool, but you cannot collect enough to craft the recipe.
The result is as per the OP’s image
I managed to collect 11 of these as I killed mobs in a big pack. Unfortunately, 11 is less than the 16 required. I don’t fancy resetting the quest to try to get 8 in hand and 8 on the floor, although this does seem to be a feasible (but annoying) workaround. Hopefully this is a quick fix as I have way too many quests in my journal. I’ll have to try to ignore it for a while.
Any news aboyt this bug? There were like 2-3 patches since this bug was first time posted, the only thing they have to change is value of 16 to 9 into quest server/client files to sync them, that’s all!
I literally have no other quests, I finished them all, that’s the only quest line i can’t complete and it’s holding me back for no reason at all! Act already…
Have a good day!

Nope, reseting will reset everything including the quest items you’ve aquaired along the quest line up until that point where we have the bug.
I think all the small patches since Dec 6th have only addressed critical game issues like the musket bug etc. I’m hoping the next major patch (January?) will have it included.
Like I mentioned before I’ve had this in my log for about a year now. I’m glad all you fine folks are also sharing your experiences with this quest so we can all get it finished
