Quest Shrine Cleansing is blocked at objective Defeat the Tiger

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing:
    The objective Defeat the Tiger for quest Shrine Cleansing in zone Ebonscale Reach is stuck and cannot be completed. Interacting with the shrine to spawn and defeat the tiger is not possible, there is no interact prompt. This blocks the whole quest chain as it cannot be progressed to the next quest.

  • Is this a bug or an exploit:
    Bug

  • (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay:
    The quest chain is blocked and cannot be progressed to the next quest.

  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue:
    No, running to the other side of the area and coming back, or logging out for 15+ minutes did not solve the issue.

  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced:

  1. Be level 56.
  2. Partially complete some objectives for quest Shrine Cleansing
  3. Go to the shrine and defeat the mob guarding it.
  4. Interact with the shrine and spawn the tiger.
  5. Attack the tiger, but run away as it is way too strong compared to the rest of the quest.
  6. Complete all other objectives for the quest except Defeat the Tiger.
  7. Go back to the shrine to try once more but ultimately run away again.
  8. Ask in area chat for help. Group with a level 60 player.
  9. Now the shrine is not interactable anymore, there is no interact prompt.
  10. Disband the group.
  11. Restart the game.
  12. Group with the level 60 player again.
  13. Disband the group.
  14. Quit the game for 15 minutes.
  15. Start the game.
  16. Abandon the quest.
  17. ???
  18. A lot of time wasted.

I’d like to say I have the same issue, I died under the tiger’s attack and the game crashed while I was being resurrected.

Now when I go there, I can’t interact to “free” the tiger and be able to fight him, as the step “purify the altar” is already completed.

+1 same issue. did all the other objectives and can’t make tiger spawn outside of cage

found here on forums some threads opened about month ago with this tiger disappearing. so it should be a known bugged quest. hope ags fixes it soon

Both myself and one of my friends attempted this quest solo, found we were unable to defeat the Tiger, completely all other objectives and returned to the Shrine today only to find that the interact option is missing.

Seems easily reproducible.

Same thing here. Completed all other objectives, came back for tiger, tried to solo it (lvl60) , failed, came back the next day with a friend ,interacting option was missing.Friend left and I stayed a bit around. A random player who was on the same quest came, summoned the tiger and started the fight. We were both attacking the tiger when all of a sudden he disappeared into the graphics of the wall opposite to the shrine and we have never seen him again. Other players were coming for the quest only to find out that the tiger was nowhere to be found. Spent more than 2 hours around the area and I was checking from time to time but tiger never respawned.
It is needless to say how frustrating this is…

I had to abandon and retake quest in order to finally complete it.
I have noticed though that the items (4) which we need to collect from chests in one of the objectives, keep dropping even after the completion of the task. I ended up with 15 of them…

Same issue Olympus server. All other parts complete, No more tiger.

Same here…this Tiger is a blocker for the quest.

need to be able to resummon and remove. I noticed on beta defeating the tiger wasn’t mandatory for the quest.

Exactly this just now. Relogged and managed to get an “E” above the shrine but still could not interact with it. Abandoned quest so I could get it again and try once that stupid Tiger is nerfed.

And one more bug with a quest, a lot of Corrupted plans from chests, but only 4 are needed.

Same issue, which probably started after I took more then 15 quest objects from the boxes.

Same issue. I have not yet tested trying to have someone else with the quest (that has not interacted with the shrine yet) to see if they can unlock it for me. Will check back in if this is successful.

Same here. Died once, returned later and cannot cleanse the shrine again in order for the tiger to spawn so it can be defeated.

Just did this quest last night. Very glad I was able to solo the tiger on the first try and avoid this.

Had the same deal with the Corrupted Plans though, ended up with over 10 of those

I got the same problem for a few days now… Can a Dev fix this or respond? There is Alott of person wandering about this without any confermation Support/devs have even read it…

I canceled the quest and started over again. Seems now I can do the shrine thing again. Have not yet finished it.
