I’m very sorry for the item that you salvaged.
In response of your question. In that case if you still has the quest in progress you can leave the mission and take it again so you can do it again. However, if you have already completed the quest, unfortunately it would not be possible to repeat it.
I share with you the steps to abandon the quest.
Step 1: Open the task log by pressing the “J” key on your keyboard.
Step 2: Find a task and look to the right. The Reset button is located just below the Pin button. Click on it and you will see a confirmation window in which you will have to confirm the action.
Step 3: Confirm your decision. That’s all.
