I am aware that the longer you hold a territory, the harder it is for you to erase influence gained by an opposing faction. And likewise, opposing factions can gain influence very quickly in a long-held territory.
My question: does this defender influence penalty reset if someone declares on us & then we win a defensive war? Or will we always have this penalty?
To be clear, the reset occurs after the territory is put into conflict, not necessarily the war.
And I know this because we pushed a territory into conflict on our server, and the defending company did the company name change bug to reset influence/conflict. When we tried to push the next day, it was 4-5x harder to push influence than just the previous day.
