Feel free to choose whichever questions to answer, I know some are likely not to be answered which is fine. The one that is second most important to me (behind hippos of course) is related to the decision not to open up all servers and maintain a single community and instead to fragmenting. I know it’s a tough question and that it’s critical of the choices you have made as a company, but I think many of us would like at the very least more elaboration? We can handle decisions we do not support, that’s life, but many legacy players really feel hurt by this decision without much further explanation or thoughts towards the future. For many players that enjoy the MMO genre, our progress and amount of hours invested into a character is very important (even if the reality is that nothing lasts forever, other than Star Citizen’s alpha of course haha).
P.S. Another really big question I have that is important to me as a former player are the plans and hopefully details for enhancing the open world experience and promoting more exploration and gathering runs (that are not just running the most efficient static resource loops that have already been “solved” by the playerbase). If that makes sense.

What are the plans for the improving open world PVE/Gathering experience and perhaps some deets? Any plans to make pseudorandom nodes/spawns/treasure maps/starmetal meteors/etc that players can stumble upon and promote exploring the open world?
(Context: Was bumping this thread for 9 months before recently letting it die. Idea: Making "Random" Open World Spawns (For rare mobs, resources, ori meteors, world bosses, rare loot chests, rafflebones, treasure maps, abandoned caravans, etc))
Any plans for revamping the storage system? Removing weight and allowing players to gather more unrestricted? Can we get details on the plan?
(Context: Gathering is pretty relaxing but my storage was full and the global storage system doesn’t support gathering and storing raw materials long-term. So unfortunately before leaving it was not much of an end game activity for me, as much as I wish it could have been. Yes it’s possible to refine it immediately afterwards and sell it, but the was too much player friction and would benefit from since QOL. Also it would be cool to stumble upon random events/spawns while doing static gathering node runs. Unfortunately before leaving I was almost exclusively running instanced content, I play this game more for the open world not instanced content. Although I recognize that instanced content is very important and I very much enjoyed it even I was participating in it.)
Can we get collapsing floors that fall into spike pits? Can we get traps in the open world?
(Context: Because it’s coooooool. Yes traps can be “solved” but you could design them like the pseudorandom chests in Tempest where there are many possible locations and if you create enough of these it can really make it so repeating the same runs doesn’t feel as stale. Also add pushy goats wahaha. So even if you know where it’s at, a misplay can least to utter doom. You could also make crumbly floor that breaks after x amount of time. Add it to a boss arena but also add it to an expedition as a puzzle. I’m thinking the whole Indiana Jones, “Spell God’s Name” thing haha)
Why hasn’t black dye made it’s way into the shop?
(I think we are all baffled that is been over a year and the most requested dye has still not made it’s way into the shop)
Can you please address further the decision to not eventually open up all servers and it’s impact on legacy players, who have been with you since release? Also to address the impact of fragmenting the community so early into it’s development?
(Context, it’s the reason I recently left the game/taking a break. Still really like the game which is why I’m on the forums following the development. Just concerned about plans for the future. I think last I heard is that it was mentioned that there are no regrets making this decision but little more than that. It’s fine stick to your guns if that is what you are doing but at the very least I think recognizing the impact this has on your most dedicated playerbase would be appreciated)
Any plans for hippos officially? Curious, why were they not added in Brimstone Sands given that they would have fit really nicely in the oasis regions and the Egyptian flavor.
(Context: The game has been without hippos for 469 days as of the writing of this question.)
Any plans to revamp the trophy system? Plans to allow players to place all of their trophies but use the Bio page to quickly swap which ones are active?
(Context: This is one of the most requested QOL changes I’ve seen here in the forums over these 469 days that has yet to be addressed. There are a ton of others but I think this truly stands out. As a former avid forum participant, I really can attest to this. It comes up too frequently to count)
Any plans to revamp the achievement system? Make it more rewarding?
(Context: I know the game is trying to stray away from grindy content, but this would be a perfect place to put some grindy content without forcing it on the entire playerbase. Then you can add cosmetic rewards such as music pages, titles, skins, etc. Yeah we do have some grindy things out there but I would like to see ones that are perhaps more fun to do and have more meaning behind them? I really think the transmog system will be a nice addition that will help with collectors out there, but a revamped achievement system would really complement that.)
No idea if anyone actually read all of this haha. It’s important to me but I know it’s a lot. If you did read it thanks! Also I think I finished fixing all of my typos… for now. Then got excited about the trap floor question for some odd reason so I tried elaborating on that some more.
