Before I get to my questions,on legacy servers I have gotten all my trades and crafts to 200 minus furnishings and fishing and music. I’ve gotten full bis for my build with out gold dupes or being in a large company. Either rolled it my self or sniped it off the AH or through a friend. I have played since day 1, I have played through the lowest points of the game while the vast majority of players quit at level 30. Now the game has significantly improved and everyone wants to come back but wants to start fresh.They don’t want to be so far behind players like myself. Now don’t get me wrong fresh servers have been fun and enjoyable, but as a result my main server has lost over 1000 players and other servers in my region have also taken a big hit. I haven’t really been able do any wars, any opr, and 3s and m10s since fss launch. Myself and many others are obviously upset with this. Right now I’m forced to pay to transfer to try to find a more active server to have content at a reasonable pace. Now I understand players coming back don’t want to deal with “contaminated servers” and just be so far behind and that’s understandable. However almost all the arguments made for fresh start I see as irrelevant since the patch the fss servers are on is no different than legacy. In a few weeks time fss will look no different to live. Loads of players from legacy are on fresh start and they know the ins and outs of the game giving them a huge advantage. Give it a few weeks and players will be 625 and geared and it will be same stuff different server.
My question to fresh start advocates
-What are you guys going to do in 1 month, 6 months or a year when you fall behind to the hard core sweats?
-What are you guys going to do when the big pvp companies dominate on legacy, dominate on fresh start? ( I have a screenshot of a fresh start war scoreboard with legacy players dominating with 99 kilks 83 kills and multiple players over 50 kills… literally the biggest farm fest I’ve ever seen.
-What happens when gold sellers infest the servers allowing players to pay ridiculous amounts of gold for items most people couldn’t afford? (Btw they are already there.
-Are you guys just going to quit again if things don’t work out they way you hoped?
Are you just going to want a server wipe every year since you can’t keep up with the sweats?
-What happens when you get geared up and still get rolled in pvp over and over because you lack experience and game knowledge?
Why are some of you so disrespectful to those of us who are upset with main servers dying due to fresh start servers.
My questions to AGS
-Do you guys plan to make an incentive for players to join legacy servers?
-Do you guys to ever plan to make a difference between legacy and fresh start?
Do you guys plan on always catering to the players that quit your game for months in hopes they comeback and stick around and leave your loyal player on dead servers and force them pay money to find content.
Are you guys just going to relaunch the game every year to try to bring in new players?

I see no point into committing to fresh start other than for fun, when chances are loads of players will quit again and likely come back months later when AGS releases a new big update. Then be mad they are so behind again and want a fresh start. I’ve played multiple mmos and normally they add catch up mechanics not just a full restart of the game.
I’ve played pretty much since launch and I’m still enjoying Fresh Start Servers. It’s just something to enjoy doing. Chilling my way through quests, enjoying mid game stuff that I don’t do on my main anymore.
FSS weren’t just for the people who left, they’re for whomever wants to join. Having said that, give it a few weeks and people will probably be back on their mains. Just something to do for now.

I think that I can see a main theme to your question and that is that you’re only thinking about your own style of gameplay. For my style of gameplay I don’t care who takes control of the territories or wins the most battles. It’s an MMORPG. We shorten this to MMO but in doing so we shouldn’t ignore the fact that it’s an RPG because that’s the part that drives the game and draws in players.
The main reason I deleted my legacy server character to start on a FSS (I left 2 months after launch at level 52) is because I didn’t feel very welcomed by the “legacy” player base. Trying to get groups to do normal level 60 dungeons and I needed to be 580gs…. Not very welcoming if you ask me. With a FSS we are all low level geared so it’s easier to do the content. I see that there’s a shortage of tanks in New World. I usually play tank/healer in MMOs but because I’ve not been able to join in with “legacy” players I’ve not learnt how to tank yet. So I guess it’s the community (generalising here) as well as the economy that made my decision an easy one. I hate elitist players! I’d rather spend all day doing a dungeon run and find it hard, compared to rejecting people because they can’t speed run it.
When I played WoW we had a guy named Ugga that rolled an Orc Protection warrior. He was laughed at because he didn’t choose the meta Tauren and the officers didn’t take him seriously until one day the main tank could turn up to a raid and Ugga was given a spot. Long story short…… it turned out Ugga was the best tank in our guild! Bring the person, not the gear/class. Legacy servers need to learn this, in my experience.

I think rather than arguing with those who wants to bash legacy servers so they can hide their excuses,asking AGS is better option here because noone knows what’s AGS plan is. They are not answering in any topic,it seems like whole thing turned into clown fiesta.
At least AGS has to make an announcment about people’s concern on legacy servers,whats new world going to be like,are they gonna make it seasonal mmo just to bring people in every 6 month? If they make a clear announcment I think most people can make their plans and if they dont like the plan they can find a better game.
I quit around level 51 when there were a ton of issues and bugs that affected wars, characters and everything, I don’t care about losing to the hardcore people because my playstyle is chill, I offer my little character up in faction quest runs to draw attention and time from higher level opponents so the big guys can take them out or (hopefully) make it back with the quests. I don’t care about min maxxing, I like to explore the world, harvest, craft and just enjoy the game my way. I would be ok with a server reset once a year on fresh start tbh. I’m here to have fun, not to dominate.
