Queue times are ridiculous

The queue is a lie

It’s almost like it’s the release day of one of the most anticipated MMORPG’s in the last 5 years…

Had a brown out here in lovely Southern California, when I got back in it was 1,300. I picked a bad day to stop doing crack

and the fact that this uses easy anti cheat means i cant play other games while waiting to log in.

Darn. I was about to fire up some Diablo 2 while I was in queue.

Cocaine’s a hell of a drug

I was queuing all evening from about 3PM, didn’t get on till I had fallen asleep at about 2AM.

Get up early thinking I can have an hour before work, server maintenance…

Having played multiple MMOs at launch or with expansions I will flat out call you a liar here. Stop lying. If you expected some perfect launch or anything close to it, that’s on you.

Tru tru who would expect a 2 trillion dollars company to have a decent MMO launch. Crazy.

Define a decent MMO launch. I have played quite a few MMOs, many of them at launch or during an expansion launch. None have gone smoothly. The best effort I saw was Legion for WoW and the only reason it went smoothly is they sacrificed WoD to do it.

If you want to state your opinion on the topic, that’s fine, but calling me a liar makes you nothing more than an immature a**hole. Moron.

I still have 3,000 queue on my Zara server, who the hell knew only 2,000 players are allowed per server. And on top of that, why does Amazon keep letting new characters be created on overcrowded servers, I was so early to create my character and everyone else piled on top, and now its virtually inaccessible.

I have already levelled a character there, and Im thinking about migrating out of this nightmare waiting game. We need more solutions fast, and that free transfer would be great like now.

I understand why everyone is upset i waited 3 hours in que to play with a friend and finally gave up and started on another server got to about level 20 and by that time the que for that server was 3 hours too so again I said f it and moved to an empty server again but now there are more then enough empty servers for people to play on it seems like people are more angry they gotta sit in que to get into their favorite streamers server then actually just go to an empty server and play

Okay, i’m sorry but I am with the other dude. How have you played as many games as you claim and never had a que issue? Every game, at launch, (be it expansions or day 1 of game) i’ve had que times as long as 5 hours (BFA WoW) or 2 hours (TERA/Rift launch) I truly get your frustration. But this is actually a norm?

36 hours was my longest, and that was with WoW’s Warlords expansion.

f’k that lol

Amazon are implementing a 2000 PLAYING per server cap at the moment. Once 2000 are playing it seems to be a one out one in queue system. I presume that the 2000 cap per server will increase, but I dont think it is even possible for there to be 4 k people in this game world at the same time experiencing game play with 2000 concurrent players, to me at least the world seems pretty full.

Keep an eye on this site
New World Server Status & Population (newworldstatus.com) and go to a server where players playing and people queueing is BELOW 2000.

AG is a small subsidiary of a 2 Trillion dollar company that has :-

  1. Never released an MMO.
  2. Has attempted three games of which New World is the only one to achieve any real success.

Just because you have more money than god doesn’t mean you can release a game, let alone an MMO. The fact that Amazon is a 2 Trillion dollar company is actually helping NW in the only way it could. Less than 24 hours after launch, NW has almost twice the number of servers it launched with (according to NewWorldStatus we went from 256 to 434). I can’t think of any other game that has expanded that agressively within 24 hrs.

Yeah, the queue times are painful right now but, just like how no-one remembers how much of a dumpster fire World Of Warcraft was at launch, this too shall pass.

Their server limit is 1000. It’s was built around that. The main problem is, and correct me if I’m wrong, I’m seeing mass afk running in place. If they did that so those jerks get booted it will greatly decrease wait times.

I had no issues in game all day. Sounds like a bunch of salt. Get up and take a walk or something.
