Describe the issue you are experiencing: Ebonwood nor Quillwood seems to drop. Several of us have farmed Wyrdwood & Ironwood for hours on end with full luck sets, 1700 logging food, x3 tier 2 trophies, and we have not seen either of these materials. We have received ALOT of the other legendary items such as barbvine.

It’s really annoying, i grinded my engineering up really high and now I can’t even craft any of the schematics i’ve purchased, as the crafting items don’t exist in-game…
Also seeing as there’s no mention of it in the patch notes, looks like it’ll be another week of waiting for these items to enter the game.
The luck system isn’t simply adding to a value and now you get 0.00003% chance of getting something.
Let for simplicity’s sake say the luck system has a 1-100 table of items. Something like Fae Iron is on the table at 33.At the beginning of the game you can roll on the table from 0-20, by a little luck you move the window into the drop table from 10-30 (Still no Fae Iron), now you go all out full luck armor, food and trophies, so now you have access to 40-60 and again you don’t get Fae Iron.
It’s a fun system to explorer, but in weeks we will see guides for people with 200 harvesting and how much +luck items to put on to farm stuff.
Hmm I see, do you have a source? I’ve mined iron with only luck on my pickaxe and i’ve gotten Fae Iron. I’ve also mined it with a full miner’s outfit, luck on my necklace, x3 tier 2 trophies, 1700 luck food, and I’ve still gotten Fae Iron.
But also I’ve checked several servers, have asked friends, discords & streamers to check their trading posts, and not one person has seen ebonwood or quillbark, yet there are dozens of legendary crafting mats such as Barbvine on every server. That seems very fishy to me!
That’s not true.
I’ve gotten fae iron with all sorts of luck levels, ranging from only lucky pickaxe to full miner set with food and trophies. I would assume that the system is additive as in the loot table expands the higher your luck is.
Anyways, T4 rare drops should be inline with each other luck wise. It doesn’t make any sense that the tier 4 rare drops from logging will require a much higher luck level than other T4 drops and all of the T5 drops.
I’m from Saba too btw and facing the exact same issue. I really wanted the 490 epic bow, 
I’ll check on my server. If that’s really an issue this is a bit… well… hugely disappointing.

Exactly my thought, I agree with everything you said. Leveling crafting professions high up early on is quite a niche and so I don’t think this issue will receive much attention, if any, and so I doubt it’ll be a priority for the devs to fix.
Right now is the time that the tier 4 stuff would be very useful to players, but we cannot benefit because the crafting items are not on the loot tables.
It would be nice if a moderator would see this, but I think it’s unlikely as other issues are getting more attention right now.

No quillbark or ebonwood in sight while Petrified Wood, Whisperwood and Barbvine are available.
Logging lvl 200, almost 50% luck increase but no drop.
Same problem; I invested everything into leveling arcana, bought the logging armor. This is a huge letdown, and I hope it gets the attention it deserves.
Hey, i’m on Podesta and have gotten 50+ Wildwood from the 175 trees but 0 barbvine. Is this normal or could certain mats be bugged for certain servers
I’m on Kantia, can confirm no Quillbark on auction and neither dropped for me personally with over 10k wyrdwood harvested with ath least 30% luck (full set+axe)
Thanks, I also found a single Quillbark after an hour of farming Wyrdwood in Edengrove with my full luck set. Seems exceptionally rare and I won’t be crafted any of the level 40 recipes because of that!
The elk hoof craft mods don’t seem to drop. I’ve never seen one on the trade market and I have genocided elks with full luck set and trophies and never had one drop. The gathering alacrity perk they confer would be a huge asset to gathering. Seems to be the same issue as these materials.

There was a quillbark on the trading post today. My company has been farming this for 2 days with logging luck sets and food and have found none. Any chance this has been resolved and we are just unlucky or are they still excessively rare?
There is one Quillbark in my server going for 2k. I have spent about 15h farming Wyrdwood no luck so far.
I did many hours of farming Wyrdwood with a full luck set, and I never found either of these. However, I was running through Edengrove recently, decided to cut a few Wyrdwoods without my luck gear, and behold, I found a single Quillbark.
Server Pyrallis
Full luck set level 200 Logging - Hours here as well, Have found Whisperwood (12), Petrified wood (4), Bramble Vine (9), and no drops for Ebonscale or Quill bark, Have been focused on wyrdwood lately, with no luck
The crafting system is such that - you require level 50-60 for the maximized luck percentage gear (as Gear score is impacted by luck, and level is impacted by Gear score) so the reality is, the level 140 Arcana crafts for a 46 player are impossible to farm, by a level 46 player. I keep checking and saying - I can get more luck, if I get higher levels, but then the item is uselss because at that point I wont need the gear.
Am planning to just focus on leveling, and ignoring crafting -considering Luck mods on gear should be based on Gathering level and not GS level/Player level, and that you need to farm 50,000 + Wyrdwood, to get a shot at anything beyond tree sap. If you just logged, attempting to get legendary items at the current drop rate - you will be level 60 from the XP, before getting enough of the drop to craft the items for level 50 players. 1 Quillbark exists right now on Pyrallis - selling for 5k gold on the trade post
I have dropped 2 ebonwood in the last 48h.
I was not in full luck gear, only the pickaxe and amulet.
Something must have changed. I haven’t seen quillbark yet.
However, it’s still way easier to drop legendary from Iron Wood than T4 from Wyrdwood
